I always liked them and still listen to them occasionally. Sad that they couldn’t get along.

Probably one of the last true great bands to come out of Manchester or indeed Britain. All we have now is x factor s~~~e.

I first saw them in Southampton UK at a venue called the Joiners. I think it was in 1994? It was part of the ‘toilet circuit’. In other words s~~~ holes where new bands started. There were less than 30 or so there as far as I remember. I’ve still got some signed merch from the gig. I even saw Green Day here in the late 80’s!
I thought they were pretty good as they had a bit of a Beatles vibe with their early stuff. Went off them a bit later as my preference was for heavier rock.

Women are so bad, if they changed the law so I kept the house, I still wouldn't marry one. I'd rather be homeless.

Their first three albums were brilliant and released at the height of the Brit pop movement, which died down shortly after. Some of those songs were really iconic: Wonderwall, M+orning Glory, Don’t look back in Anger – Classic. Lost interest after the third album, Be here now. However I liked the song Little by Little with Robert Carlyle that was released in the early 2000’s.
