they were big when i was in university. i saw them live in London (Canada). Don’t hear much of their music these days but some of their songs are classics.

mustve been a treat being there when they were together. for someone as young as me, i heard about them some years back and started listening then. Most of their songs are catchy and the lyrics are crazy. i find them cool especially when i found out they used to fight a lot.

hahahaha. the part where noel pulls out liam’s eyebrows
in an interview where noel was asked about how their band got separated, he replied saying that liam threw a plum at him and he couldnt tolerate that so he left the band. lol

They inspired me to learn the guitar – I was a huge fan back in the day.

I do like Noel’s band – high flying birds. ‘you know we can’t go back’ tune.

Well that’s certainly a good thing. I used to be in a band and covered a few oasis songs.

‘whatever’ was a personal favourite. Fitting MGTOW lyrics.

I used to love that group, and am still a big fan of Noel Gallagher. He was always the most talented guy in the band. Nice to see that he’s managed to continue doing well since he left. His solo album could’ve easily bombed on release, because a lot of fans never liked the idea of Noel without Liam, but instead he demonstrated again why he was the best guy there.

Feel really sorry for Andy Bell and Gem Archer though. They seemed like decent people and talented guys, but because they were never particularly famous in their own right, they were doomed when Noel left them alone with Liam.

They’ve basically disowned each other now.

Apparently liam was simply impossible to work with. I read one incident where the band were due on for and liam decided he couldn’t performan because he had a sore throat. They went on without him and liam proceeded to chain smoke cigarettes, drink several pints of lager and heckle his own band.

    I’d have throttled the prick.

yeah. i read something like that. sometimes it feels like noel spoiled his younger brother with fame. it seems noel wrote most of their songs. plus he was the one making most of the decisions in the band until the others turned reluctant about it and that’s where they started having real problems.

For me, I remember the time Oasis were doing a small of the UK small venues just before they hit it big. I could have seen them for a fiver but I passed. I was told this was the “New Stone Roses”. I was a massive fan of the Stone Roses (First album classic, 2nd is s~~~). Got into them as their first and second albums were great, but I never got the same feeling from their later work. At the time their main competition was Blur. I still listen to Blur, but rarely Oasis.

I have one question for the OP. I’m not having a Go, but Why does it matter what music you listen to when you go MGTOW? I did’t think there was a “MGTOW Approved” playlist?

Anyway, it’s always good to find new music or re-disscover old Bands. I’m not a fan of the chart stuff these days. Sounds like a load of Candy Ass s~~~ to me. But then, I’m an old Dude.

Nice songs, but my first impressions when I listened to their songs was “those guys are a serious modern beatles cover”.

If you ignore de lyrics, they songs are pretty good. But as any commercial music, they have to sing about love and bla bla bla

One of my favourite bands. Too many good songs to list but I have fond memories of going to Kiev for the Euro 2012 champs and singing these songs with a load of English fans in the fan zone just before our big quarter final with Italy – happy days
