Who said anything about being perpetually broke? That’s a false dichotomy. No surprise that someone would reduce my point to the cliched “follow your heart and do whatever you want” without bothering to read the nuances.
Unless he’s got someone footing his college bill for him or some serious scholarships, he’s going to end up with a pile of student debt for a degree where he’ll be lucky to make north of 50k a year. That’s a pretty good way to end up being perpetually broke. College isn’t cheap these days…its a terrible idea to go if you aren’t chasing a degree that has a good chance to lead to a job with an above average wage.
dont rely on anybody to decide what to make of your life , ultimately you will be the one living those choices and getting the conséquences , just choose what is best for you… if one thing doesnt work out well you can always try the other later
Hey man. I know a lot about where you’re from. gba be bi mo so fun e.
First, a lot of Nigerian trad cons are going to try to keep you on the PROVIDER treadmill via religious guilt and shame. One word, bounce!
While you still have escape velocity (e.g. No baby mama, no debt, no wife or in-laws), bounce.
Bounce = Leave wherever you are and go to a place of solitude. Don’t get into ANY commitments until you’ve given yourself at least a month to think about where you are and the path you’ve taken to get there. You don’t have to spend a month in solitude of course but at least a weekend if you can swing it.
Before your weekend of solitude get a copy of The Rational Male by Rollo Tomassi. Read it all the while you’re in solitude.
Forgive me as I’ve made a few presumptions, but if I had the blessing of stumbling on MGTOW.com when I was your age, I would have retired a millionaire ten years ago

Steady on.
You’re young enough that you can set up blocks of time to achieve multiple goals. If you’re passionate about film. It won’t end your life if you spend 6 or so years dedicated to the craft.
Nigeria is an open marketplace. Don’t be afraid to dream big. If you spend time in film school. Learn to recognize talent in others. As well as the ins and outs of fundamental film production.
While in school. Earn as much money to sock away as possible. You’re already two steps ahead observing the lives of men on boards like these.
