It’s no secret that going your own way frees up alot of time and energy and money and makes you more relaxed…

So I’m curious what are some things you’re free to do now that you’re not burdened by a relationship?

    Here’s my list:

-Fly helicopters! With all the money and time I’m saving I plan on getting my pilots license in 1-2 years!

-Travel the world. So far since going my own way I’ve been taking 2 or 3 international trips per year. I have so many places I want to see and it’s just not financially possible with a female. When you travel alone you spend way less money, and you can do whatever you want at your own pace.

-Retire early if I want to. I’m 29 and have no desire to retire though. I like to work and stay busy. Instead of retiring early my goal is to have enough assets that I don’t NEED a job. My plan is to take mini-retirements along the way, in between jobs. Once I have a decent amount of assets I may cut back the hours and work part-time if I want. It’s nice to work as much or as little as I want. Maybe I’ll start a lifestyle business, even if it doesnt make me rich. Without a relationship I have so much more flexibility.

-I can afford grass-fed meat and the finer things in life. I’m learning to enjoy a quiet peaceful meal by myself. Grass-fed steaks and high-quality health food aint cheap. Without a woman it costs half as much.

-I want to be mobile. With the extra time I have I’m learning the skills needed to get a job in any major city on Earth. Maybe I’ll float around every 5 years and switch continents. I don’t have to comprimise with anyone or go back home to see family or inlaws.

-Speaking of family, this may sound kind of selfish but I don’t really enjoy spending time with my family. I kinda wanna bounce to another city at some point, and I’m seriously considering changing my phone number and email when I do it. My brother and cousins are cool but my mom is nuts and my older brother is mangina. The rest are all losers. I would never have the freedom to cut those ties if I had a female to shame me into being Mr family f~~~.

-I’d like to get a tent/backpack and hike from coast to coast. Just take my time and live extremely simple for 6 months. Enjoy nature and the simple things in life. What’s the rush? I’ll get there when I get there.

-I find myself meditating more often and I’ve got the time to read tons of books now. I’m teaching myself yoga and I feel myself getting more and more relaxed the longer I go my own way. Celibacy rocks.

Jeez I could probably come up with 20 more things if I wanted to. Now that I sit here and think about it- I don’t remember what I ever saw in women. Such a life complication.

So yea what are you guys free to do now?

I guess everyone has heard that ” if it flys floats or f?!#€, it’s cheaper to rent” Well I found out that you can afford 2 if you get rid of the one who f?!#€.

When you find yourself in the majority, it's time to reflect.

Everybody knows I love trucks so I’m definitely getting two trucks, and tricking them out with aftermarket parts. A Ford F-150 and one other diesel truck. Probably a Ram 2500 or that new Nissan Titan Warrior (If they decide to make it).

A nice house just for me
A few acres of land for the house, and more for cows.
    Hunting Trips / General Traveling
    GUNS!!!!!
    Some luxury watches
    Nice suits
But most importantly, I get to have PEACE of MIND

I put a lot of my money back into my business and investments, other than that the things I like to
    do come pretty cheap.

    ATVing,camping,hunting,fishing,working out,

I set up a home gym with free weights and bench,

No stupid fees or rules, work out in my boxers!

Do all my own cooking, another pleasure of mine,
real whole foods, big game meat, veggies from local
    farmers.

Reading online and always learning more about everything that interests me.

I’ll never retire either, even if it means volunteering some place, have to keep busy!

Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!

Get me focused! That’s not so easy when you have spent 30+ yrs being focused on other people. No slipping back into old ways.

Recover from a year of very invasive surgeries. Light workouts.
I’m going back to school to take some classes for me.
    Fixing my home up.
    Camping
    Travel

I’m free to live and enjoy life each and every day!

I guess I’m free to happy, the rest is just material wealth, the important thing is being content and happy every day.

    Women always made me unhappy.

Hike around different areas, look at some beautiful city views, read books at Barnes n noble, Hip Hop dancing, gymnastics, yoga (heck yeah!), poetry, people-watching, study behavioral psychology,philosophy/prayer/meditation, internet surfing, watch TV shows that aren’t that tainted by gynocentric paradigms (far few and in between). Kick it/practice with a few close friends in my circle of hobbies.

Sums up a good amount. Intellectually dreamy. Just noticed that most these hobbies only require gas money to get around and that’s about it! Damn. Even the cost-worthy ones you guys mention seem easily/realistically affordable with a stable income, consistency and most importantly, GOING YOUR OWN WAY ! Yeahhh buddy !!!

Yes, that’s exactly what I am up to do next, not for the first time on my own though. See here:

Good thread. Right now I’m at working in the north at a hydro dam project. It’s a crazy 21 day in and 7 day out schedule, so I’d like to be here for a while and get some money going. Man is this a place that is total havoc on relationships. One guy was losing his s~~~ one day because wifey found a new guy that’s into “poetry, literature and art”. So much for better or for worse!! Anyway I’d like to finish this job, take time off in a couple of years, take a summer off. There’s a fishing trip I take every first week of June every year with the same group of guys so I’ll continue doing that. Finish my restoration of my ’72 Duster 340, hit up some amazing car shows in the states, maybe do a separate fishing trip with my oldest brother, get season tickets for football.

-Enjoy peace and quiet (no wonder monks are happy)
-Meditate early in the morning before work
    -Brew rocketfuel mead
    -More time for reading
    -Sleep in my own bed
-Work towards my own retirement goal:

One day I’ll live on an island in a cheap house in solitude with enough land to grow a fruit and veg garden and will have a pet duck or two. Also the redneck hot tub idea Stealthy suggested sounds great.

S~~~, free to do everything. To name a few…

    -Financial freedom
    -Ride motorcycles
-Buy a gun whenever I want
    -Start my own business
-Go to sleep knowing that my livelihood is safe and secure in my hands not the hands of a paranoid schizophrenic female.

Having a woman is like driving with the parking brake on, when going my own way, it’s taking the parking brake off.

I can work my ass off at my business as much as I want without a whining bitch to come home to. Unfortunately I’m usually so tired after work that I don’t do much nowadays. I mainly spend my off time sleeping.
