My first Solo vacation

So I took my first solo vacation to Costa Rica this week and I have to say it was amazing.

It was so nice to do things at my own pace. The peace and quiet was great.

I spent a few days just lazing around on a hammock, reading books and getting drunk all day. I could never have done that with an anchor. Whoops I mean female.

I didn’t whore around while I was down there but man did I get a lot of attention from females!

It was like every time I sat down by myself to eat a taco or whatever, I had females coming up to my table, asking to sit down with me. Insane. Always groups of 2. Girls from Britain, Australia, Toronto, Austria, Netherlands, etc.

The funny s~~~ is it almost always went the same lol. We would have a friendly platonic conversation for about 10 minutes, with me showing no romantic/sexual interest whatsoever.

Then afterwards, 3 out of 5 times the girls started muttering words like we’re on a budget, or not enough money, or too broke to do this or that. LOL. Fishing for Captain Save-A-Hoe.

I wore my nerdy glasses the whole time because I just didn’t give a f~~~ enough to put in my contacts. They probably seen me sitting alone and figured I looked like beta bucks haha.

The English girls even went so far as telling me that Britain is apparently running out of Men.

I laughed and told them I’m celibate. I said now that women are strong and independent they’re not our problem anymore. I mentioned I’m going for an early retirement instead. And that’s about when the budget talk came up…

I excused myself, went up to the bar and ordered the most expensive drink on the menu with a double shot of tequila.

Then I walked back to my hammock without saying goodbye.

Very relaxing…

$600-something for the airfare.
$300-something to stay at the best luxury hostel/resort with a private room and all the extras.
$300-something in miscellaneous bulls~~~ on my credit card. (taxis, tourist stuff)
$500 in cash, which was mainly spent on eating the best foods/drinks.

So around $1800, well spent.

This mangina that I work with went on a cruise with his new wife a few weeks prior. The dumbass gave her the credit card and then cried that she spent $8000!!! For a f~~~ing cruise!

The only thing that could have made it better would have been if I brought my fleshlight.

I thought about it but didn’t want to pull out a big ass bottle of lube/cleaner for the TSA agents.

F~~~ers want to inspect all the liquids you bring.

I forgot how s~~~ty my calloused hand feels.

I guess I’m spoiled now.

It is fun to tell women off by slapping them with the truth, but in my case that was wasted breath you will never get back.

Though, did they try chasing you when you mentioned your retirement money and plan? That is pretty dangerous to mention when around women.

It resonates with me, I re,enter dreading holidays spending two weeks with that boring women, the delight the first time travelling alone.

Fantastic , landing in Manilla a few San Miguels.

Back in the day I had a portable Sony Disk player, like the op said after 5 or 10 mins the women say they are struggling financially.

Solo vacations are the absolute best. I had to suffer through a family vacation this year, but next I’ll be going to the beach solo again. Best f’n week I’ve ever had.

I camp solo too but not in the winter. I’d rather deal with the bugs and sweat instead of the cold. I used to camp with my girl but it is soooo much easier now going solo. No to-do list, no rules, no noise, no woman = amazing trip.

I went on a one day solo road trip back in June. Drove over 600KM in one day. It was the first time I ever ventured so far on my own. It was a magical experience.

Thank you, because I am just about to go traveling for a bit on my own, too.

Mind you not in your kind of luxurious type of category (since I can’t quite afford this just yet at this point in summer…), but again to me it doesn’t even have to be this way and currently it’s the best time for me personally to take a bit of a break (see further down below for elaboration)…

So yeah, that also means that I’ll be off the forum for about at least a week or two from tomorrow, whilst I’ll be away visiting some friends and relatives along my short trip around the country hitch hiking. For me my real holidays actually start now to really enjoy myself. And yes, I do know well enough myself how it is to basically go off (whenever I like spontaneously) and travel alone: it’s heaven!!!

I can easily say so, because I have already done that plenty of times before and just went “with the flow” so to speak and most importantly in that regard: not too much planning ahead…!

Another one on the plus side right now (talking about “perfect” timing here) is: After a very much up-and-down kinda summer that I had weather wise, from now we finally get at least one little consistent heat wave towards the end of the (like I said up to now rather mediocre) summer for more than just four days, eureka…!! (nice pic btw, Rennie!)

Anyway, everybody of you guys be well and I shall be looking forward to seeing you all again when (clearing throat for putting on Arnie’s voice)
