I hit rock bottom as my business took a negative downturn and recovering from a medical issue. My fiancee, now ex-wife said, she’d never leave me and will be by my side through thick and thin.

Three years later. She couldn’t care less about me (it seemed). Didn’t want to do anything with me. Wouldn’t kiss or be intimate with me. Wouldn’t work on the marriage. Offered an “open marriage” (last straw for me. Felt so disrespected that it still makes my blood boil) She wanted to leave, but she wasn’t strong enough. So I took the initiative (prior to restarting my business) and got her to leave voluntarily (very important when entering separation and divorce).

Second worst mistake of my life… Marriage never again…

so I asked my ex not to see an individual as I figured she would cheat with.

So the lie was that she never saw him which would imply she couldn’t have had sex wit him.
I guess technically she never lied about cheating because I never asked and she never explicitly said she didn’t sleep with him (or his buddy). it never even crossed my mind something might have happened) I was too blinded by love, trusting and believed she was basically a saint that would never do any wrong.
The dp was an extra smack to the face when she told me. 2 of her friends confirmed it after, apparently she told them after it happened…
I guess I just consider the whole situation as The Lie. how someone can live with me for 2 years with no remorse or guilt and never let on anything ever happened.
