I find PUA and TRP (the reddit one) as being very fragile nerd egos. These are men that have, and deep down they know it, been losers their entire lives, and now they’re sort of carving out something for themselves. They dress it up as “frame” and “improving yourself” and “being a man” but when it all comes down to it, it’s petty little nerd s~~~. An excuse to talk crap to each other.

When confronted, these guys bust out the shaming language, and when that fails, start trying to get people banned or calling each other names. Actually they might start with the name calling, and then try to, like women, put themselves above being talked down to back. But it always dissipates like the illusion it is when they are confronted.

Deep down also, every guy knows they’re not some smooth, successful, “artist.” They mostly strike out, oft times very badly. The delusion is ignoring the countless failures and pointing to the low success chances, usually with average at best attractiveness women, always with high self esteem and other issues. I guess emotionally damaged men for emotionally damaged women.

Women engaged in destructive behavior first, but for women it is on their terms. These men then came along and took that as an excuse to have poor behavior too. I can’t condemn one side or the other—when they are just limited to just each other. But both women and PUAs seem to always try to drag the rest of us into their garbage lifestyles.

They’re not content on their own. They both crave attention badly. It’s an odd dynamic. They need to engage in garbage behavior, then turn around and tell us all their garbage behavior is in fact something we should aspire to, and if we fall into that belief, they then begin shaming us.

A true man secure in himself is just going to be above it and ignore them. And that is what a pure MGTOW should be, well above the trash, not concerned with them. I honestly these days, I have to look at most men and women as some sort of stupid animal, bereft of reason or morality. Another good example I’ve seen written is that of a slave in chains, telling others how great the chains are and trying to shame them into taking those chains themselves.

MGTOW is the subject of derogation by other factions for two reasons:

1) A potential customer base that “goes their own way” is not an attractive demographic for purposes of marketing.  Advertising in particular and marketing in general intends to subvert one’s rationality in order that one will buy a product or service.  One who is fulfilled is not likely to buy superfluous things or services, such as books on pick-up artistry penned by Daryush, or a consultation with the author of the article ( http://mattforney.com/consultations/ ) at $60/hr.  They want us on the plantation so we can give them money for bulls~~~.

2) Ego is also in play.  If one has gone on record for about a decade concerning certain matters, one becomes invested in this view.  The same thing happened with feminism and its “waves”; civilisation meeting one tranche of demands did not result in the feminist apparatus dissolving, rather, it resulted an a new “wave” with its own demands by the same infrastructure.

In passing, my new name for RoK is “Return of Krap” because that is mostly what is plied on there.

This is an interesting point and I would only disagree AFTER a see your initial point. But then I would take it a step further.

I recently saw a commercial for BMW motorbikes. A new concept bike handcrafted and special designed, with hand-stitched leather seats and careful attention to detail. It showed close ups of MENS rough hands.. a biker alone on the open road….. seascapes …. and extreme closeups of materials, sketches and … guys hanging out.

THAT was good and manly advertising. They are selling the actual product and showing that it’s an item of value.

PUA is about head games and inflating oneself at the expense of others. By comparison, MGTOW is about speaking plainly.

PUA is established and well-known, whereas MGTOW is a relative newcomer. The PUA crowd sees MGTOW coming up in the world, and it takes a hostile attitude like there’s a pecking order thing to be worked out. But the two philosophies are mostly appealing to different constituencies. And in fact a person could do both at the same time. There’s no actual competition there. It’s just PUA babble and self-inflation.

The PUA crowd would probably rather ignore MGTOW altogether. Since they’re having to give MGTOW attention and ink, that’s a backhand acknowledgment that MGTOW is gaining some real traction in the manosphere. MGTOW can take the PUA article as a sign that it’s getting noticed and as a bit of free publicity.

I kinda knew it would come to this in a sense that ROK would start spewing out this type of s~~~ and start believing it. Kinda Aaron Clary  when he first spoke about MGTOW and what it is to be a MGTOW, then a year or two later, the asshole totally does a 180 and pretty much backbites and reiterate what he stated previously about MGTOW.

He seems to be reacting mostly to something going on at Reddit. From the article:

The “anti-shaming” current in the manosphere has reached the point where r/TheRedPill recently ordered participants to “keep [their] damn morals to [themselves]” after a slew of posters objected to men asking for advice on seducing married women. In doing this, r/TheRedPill has become the manosphere’s equivalent of Tumblr: a gang of special little snowflakes screeching “YOU CAN’T JUDGE ME FOR CUCKING OTHER MEN, YOU TRADCON S~~~LORD!”

So Reddit MGTOWs are trying to hash out some policy issue, and he’s trying to give his own verdict on it at a PUA forum by saying that MGTOWS are too anarchy-oriented to make such a call and need to be whipped into shape.

But it’s just a localized policy debate about whether there should be rules governing what men do with their dicks. And the PUA crowd wants to put themselves in charge of that debate. Or something like that. In other words: Politics as usual.

I’m relatively new to MGTOW myself, although in reading the various articles/blogs, both pro and con, I’m somewhat astounded that much of the rhetoric makes me feel like I’ve gone back to junior high.
