    Welcome back MGTOW.

So sort of funny (not really) story from last night. My girlfriend of 3+ years and I were having a nice drink on the patio listening to some tunes.  Next thing you know she starts to have a thrombo because of some FB post about Marriage being a trap (you know the meme with the I don’t always drink dos equis guy saying a ring is the smallest handcuff ever made).  She was like “That’s nice”. A friend of mine had posted it.

I shrugged and said I didn’t necessarily disagree with the statement.

“What you don’t want to get married?  What am I supposed to call you my Boyfriend forever?  Or my Partner?  People think I’m a lesbian?”  Tears galore.

Me: “You previously said you were fine with commonlaw, now you want marriage, tell me why.”

Her: “I’ve wanted marriage and kids my whole life, when you want to spend the rest of your life with someone that’s what you do.”

I guess this is tactic #1, start trying to cry and shame me into a marriage proposal?  Funny this comes up a week after her feminist sister was hounding her for a day why isn’t she married yet.

Still taking my daily dose of MGTOW.  Working towards freedom.

Tears are a common commodity in the fairer gender it seems. They never really worked on me. I find them quite amusing because I feel it’s all an act and I do appreciate her skills more than I acknowledge the sentiment.

Your gf is slowly gauging your marriage-o-meter. Let it go 0 to 60 … never.

I guess I would just be prepared to find her with some other dude once she’s sure I won’t be committing. A small heartache well worth the escape from miserable existence forever.

Canadian sports fan: you nailed it, 2nd to the last paragraph of your post, theirs always a back story, behind it.

Women cant think for themselves, and when they do, it’s their worst enemy.

Her sister is a bit of a moron.  She’s nice but just parrots s~~~ that she hears from other people and never really thinks or reads for herself.  She’s a feminist, but lets men (her dad, her husband) bail her out constantly from bad financial decisions while continuing to make…bad financial decisions because she’s never (until recently) been held accountable for the consequences.

When I pressed my girlfriend what her sisters problem was, the response was “she wants to see us happy and together”  I was thinking – what she can’t get that with us being commonlaw?  I think she just wants to have a wedding party on someone else’s dime.

    CanadianSportsFan,

If I were you, I would expect an ultimatum before too long. Or possibly she cheats and bolts with a friend of yours out of spite. Head on a swivel time.

EJECT  EJECT! Do not trust her on taking her birth control pills! She may suddenly “forget to take one”.

And by the way the chance of a woman getting pregnant from forgetting to take 1 or 2 pills is 1 in a million. It’s funny how this one in a million chance happens over and over.

Right now, there’s a number of options going through her head.
One of them is an “Oops” pregnancy.

Her: “I’ve wanted marriage and kids my whole life, when you want to spend the rest of your life with someone that’s what you do.”

She wants to be with you her whole life…so she wants you to sign a contract that changes nothing about your relationship, but allows her to financially f~~~ you over in the event you split up for some reason.  Oh wait…does she want to be with you the rest of her life?

Her: “when you want to spend the rest of your life with someone that’s what you do.”

So you answer her with something like: “No, that’s not what marriage is at all. Marriage is a crass property contract, nothing more. You already have me. Why isn’t that enough for you? If you really loved me, if you really wanted me, you wouldn’t give a s~~~ about marriage.”

    Then leave her.

Seriously. Because things are about to get ugly fast, and in ways you cannot control. You are on the fast track to baby jail, be it yours or someone else’s.

We should set up a pool. I’m betting she’ll be pregnant within six months, by hook or by crook. Anyone else care to place a wager?

Oh I feel sick …. same sick as the sick I felt going in court …. that sickness knowing some other fk is going to control your life instead of you.

They will all smile as they draw and quater you for the courts pleasure.

Oh man … I’m gonna puke.

You’ve got to get out brother because it’s terrible and if she has a kid …. they’ll rip your heart out as a bonus for you misses.

The relationship is OVER.  She’ll get knocked up once she realizes there’s no chance you’ll commit.  If you really want to play a dangerous game and keep f~~~ing her, tell her that you’ll marry her and string her along until you find someone else.  But if you’re smart, run and NEVER get into a LTR ever again.  And for f~~~s sake, NEVER let a woman move in with you for any reason.

I think we need to recognize and congratulate you first- you’re aware of these tactics and you’ve detected them before it’s too late.

Considering the high probability that she will try to “oops” baby you, and that, in the face of your unwillingness to get married, the baby is the only way you could even consider that (and she knows this), Here’s what I personally would do. P.S., before these steps, get hidden cameras and install them around your house. Things could get ugly here.

    1. Go to your computer.

    2. Download  a vasectomy certificate just to get a glimpse at what one looks like. Here’s the one used in the Indian Healthcare system (First thing that came up in my search): http://pcdaswc.nic.in/FORM/Family%20Planing.pdf

    3. Forge your own, make sure it shows that active sperm count is 0 and that you never have any ability to impregnate a girl again.

    4. Date it for many months back. This way, she’ll get the message that you have been committed to this for a long time.

    5. Leave it “accidentally” on the granite countertop.

When she notices that, her entire plan will come crashing down, and she’ll excuse herself from the relationship. No need to kick her out. No need for a potential false abuse/rape claim. No need for drama. No need for oops baby fear. And you still keep your swimmers active (I’m assuming that is why you haven’t had one yet).

P.S.- Oh and when she asks you about it and is shocked, just put your hand on your mouth and say “Oops!”

Her: “I’ve wanted marriage and kids my whole life, when you want to spend the rest of your life with someone that’s what you do.”

My response/reaction to that is “If you want marriage and kids, I’m not the man/relationship for you.  It will be best for both of us to end this relationship so that you can find a man who also wants marriage and kids.”

Also, NEVER EVER f~~~ her again…

Brother!! GTFO fast. I am also a Canadian, and what you have to remember, is as far as I know, you can’t have Prenups in Canada. (Even if i’m wrong and you can, GTFO before it’s too late). Do not let it get to that point. Bring your own condoms, do not let her near them… I would worry about holes getting poked in them. As graphic as this sounds, as soon as you pop, get the f~~~ out of her… She may want to cuddle and keep you inside. Do not fall for that s~~~. It’s only by being very very careful that I haven’t gotten some woman knocked up. Seeing the position you are in scares the living Jesus out of me on your behalf. It’s kinda like one of those horror movies where you see the killer sneaking up on the main character and you cringe in your seat. I hope to hell that your GF gets these silly as f~~~ ideas out of her head. But, if the horse can’t be tamed, you got to let it go free!

Having a girlfriend will end up being like playing with fire for a man attempting to be MGTOW.  Eventually you will end up with the marriage question, and get hit with tons of emotional manipulation to ask her to propose.  If you can set clear boundaries, and uphold them, maybe you can play with fire here.  It is your life though, so your own personal happiness matters above all.  I should say LONG-TERM personal happiness.
