Anonymous11I learned today that an engineer I used to work quite closely with recently died. He got let go due to being over 50 along with a slew of other folks over 50.
He went into a depressive state and began to drink heavily. He suffered pulmonary aspiration from vomiting and asphyxiated himself. He was an engineer’s engineer.
Anonymous3Very sad news.
damn.
Love is just alimony waiting to happen. Visit mgtow.com.

Isn’t that illegal? I don’t know what country you’re from but here in Canada there are labour laws to protect against that kind of BS.
Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!
damn. I hate that more so than most because it could have and really SHOULD have been me. I hope that he has found peace at least.
Learn from the past, Control the present, and you will know the Future.
Anonymous11MGTOW really could have helped him.
He and I collaborated on a number of projects. He was a very good man. He wasn’t poor. He got sacked due to his age and handled it the wrong way. It’s not like it was when I graduated college or even 10 years ago. I’ve always had formal jobs within two weeks or less just by networking. I spent 15 months wasting time looking for a job when I went down. It is so hard on one’s soul. My friend who was in the same situation as me killed himself. I snapped and said f~~~ the corporate plantation forever. I’m now approaching five years of being self-employed.
The same company sacked me years ago, and I went my own way for I am a Black Horse.

Technically yes, but in the Fascist States of ‘Murica there are many, many ways around such trivialities. HR literature is full of instructions on exactly how to do it.
Corporate should get a lead bullet not a golden parachute!
Why waste valuable bullets on sociopathic corporate executives? They should swing by the neck from lamp posts in The Hamptons by parachute cord as a warning to their ilk. Leave the corpses for the vultures and crows.
@MonkMode: You are a gem.
I was hoping to hear that some poor bastard was getting married. I’m sorry to hear that CPig.
By the time you are in your 50’s as a man, you’re so used to being a beast of burden that you don’t know what to do when it’s taken away from you. Guys really need to find this website and realize that they are valued just for being a man.
Order the good wine
so very sorry to hear ..
Poverty isn’t the end of the world unless you make it so!
mgtower knows the deal..
so true.
we can always make more money.Mgtow could save so many lives if only fully known and understood.
more truth .
i was getting pretty close to the edge when i found this site and all the men here.
.
rest in peace to a brother i never knew.CPig, I am sorry for your loss.
To echo what TaxGuy stated, men are so use to being beasts of burden after 20+ years of work, and work/marriage becomes such an integral part of their identity, the loss of either can have very negative consequences.
It truly is a shame, such a senseless loss.
It is amazing, the older generation dies from a sense of non-productivity, the younger generation avoids work like the plague and is “depressed” if any demands are placed on them. This dichotomy can only be explained by social engineering narratives of each respective generation.
MGTOW, for me, represents casting off these narratives, expectations, and social pressures and finding my own path. I am finding, that once I did this, life became easier and more fulfilling. I don’t think this means withdrawing from society per say, but engaging with it on your own terms.

Very sad, sorry to hear it. I was hoping it wasn’t that bad.
I would of sued that bastard company for all they’re worth, because if you can prove age discriminatory, go for the lawsuit. It’s so wrong to be fired and replaced by some ignorant kid who doesn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground all because of something he can’t control like his age.
This is an example of why Trump is doing so well, because the white male worker is p~~~ed off for getting the short end of the stick, by being fired, replaced by an illegal immigrant, replaced by some dumb lazy kid who will do the job for less. The male workers in this country have been through enough and has had enough of it.

Jeez.
I didn’t know “over 50” was a thing and companies trim that way based on that, but I’m very sorry for the loss … and for not quite knowing what to say.

I thank Eyes wide open for the words when I didn’t have any.

It is wrong. I hold this company ultimately responsible for his death. I’ve long since renounced my severance agreement with them as it was signed under duress plus they made me sign in on the spot as in take it or leave it. If you are over 40, you have the right to review your severance agreement and are to be given days to do that. I was denied that process.
There are so many sneaky ways HR can get rid of people over 50 without repercussions to the company. Remember, HR is woman country, and HR c~~~s are vicious pieces of s~~~. Also, white men are not considered a “protected class” so ditching the white guys over 50 is made even easier.
Thanks guys. This one stings.
Remember, HR is woman country, and HR c~~~s are vicious pieces of s~~~.
They are also the most USELESS AND EXPENDABLE non-productive part of a company. They stand in the way of companies finding the right people. It’s only a matter of time. When the s~~~ REALLY goes down, they will be the FIRST to go.
Thanks guys. This one stings.
I have a personal bone to flick at HR c~~~s and not because I lost a job or anything, but because I have seen first hand how much they actually COST a company and what kind of real LOSSES they create.
They are a fad and will be snuffed out. I have seen them in “action” and the way they conduct themselves / interview and the methods they employ… and if I were the CEO, I would have sent them packing.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU THREW HIS APPLICATION AWAY?? IT COSTS US $20K JUST TO HIRE AN LOOK FOR A NEW WORKER. AND YOU DIDN”T EVEN CALL HIM FOR AN INTERVIEW??? BECAUSE HE’S WHITE??? GET THE F~~~ OUT YOU UELESS C~~~. YOU”RE FIRED. BECAUSE YOU HAVE A VAGINA. HOW DOES IT FEEL NOW??
She wouldn’t even win a “wrongful dismissal” claim.
Their job is to FIND the right person, not throw people away. She’s not even in a position to determine what the right person is! You have no idea how many female recruiters I have encountered who have no f~~~ing idea about the position they are hiring for. It’s truly unbelievable.
“Well I’m not really an engineer so ….”
“Then why am I speaking to you, and what IDIOT put you in charge of finding one??”
If any of you CEOs out there are reading this and have an “HR” department, you’re throwing your f~~~ing money and good people away. Go ahead, hire the affirmative action clowns , or hire more women JUST because they are women and you need to make quota…. and watch your margins go through the roof.
(Well whaddya know, I didn’t have problem finding the words after all.)
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.I had this older fella who told me that he was let go because he was over 50y and that they usually do that and replace veteran ppl with experience and skills with new younger guys who don’t know a thing
As well as younger girls who don’t know a thing. Now that nearly every bloody company is required to be half and half, they have to let go senior workers who probably know the job backwards and forwards, to make way for some new skank who will do little more than rearrange the office and demand that more vending machines be available. And who’s just hanging in there until she can get knocked up and take maternity leave.
My condolences, C-Pig. Very sad.

Corporate disposables, a shuffle here, f~~~ a pension there, restructure over here, merger over there, and do it over and over again! Corporate should get a lead bullet not a golden parachute!
And what they don’t understand is the over 50 engineers are probably the best in the company. But there’s no way HR could possibly understand that, not having any real job skills of their own the very concept is alien to them. This is why I firmly believe that only engineers should make the decision to hire or fire other engineers.
Meanwhile our “kindly” socialist nanny state government does everything it can to crush and overregulate into oblivion any startups and small businesses that might some day compete with their giant corporate campaign donors.
I can’t stand corporate environments for reasons like this. They f~~~ up people’s lives and play with their employees like we’re pawns in a chess game.
HR is also one of the worst things invented. I don’t think any sane man would’ve thought of that idea. I’m sure it was a c~~~ who thought “Hey look, HR departments are a great idea! That way, we can end up screwing with people’s lives because we love drama!”
F~~~ corporate and HR environments.
Once you have a Fleshlight real vaginas become worthless.
I always thought the older the wiser, why the hell would you fire one of your wisest employee’s? I have worked with older men before and they are super reliable! I was young and couldn’t believe how they always showed up no matter what. Sorry for your lost brother.
Never lose sight of what brought you here.
Anonymous3This seems like a good spot to write about this stuff.
I always hesitate because a lot of people really don’t understand. Males are indeed disposable, and no matter how good people think they are at their jobs, no matter how good they actually are, in the end it doesn’t really matter too much. 99% of the work done in the West is makework, it doesn’t actually NEED to be done, nor done well. We like to tell ourselves it’s different, but it isn’t.
Hence why the upper level positions are taken by those of the elite classes, both sons and daughters, and beneath that women are preferred where possible, or cost cutting is done and foreigners are brought it. Doesn’t matter if the work isn’t that good, it just needs to sort of get done.
That’s why learning “skills” is dumb. You need the contacts and the contracts. Anyone can do the work. The guy at the top usually has no idea how to do anything, nor does HR, but they make hiring decisions and they take the money afterwards.
It took me quite a long time to get established in white collar, and then after working myself near death I was unceremoniously dumped. I went from job to job like that, getting paid high sums of money, being praised to my face but then eventually everyone would keep getting cut together anyway. I realized it didn’t matter how good you were, or even really if your co-workers liked you or even your direct supervisors, it mattered what HR and the people at the top thought, and most of the time they didn’t know you nor did they care. I always got a kick out of the audits at most of these places, where someone’s niece would come by as a “consultant” then advise to make job conditions awful because that would make people “productive”, collect a 7 figure amount, smugly mock all the employees, then walk off. In general I was always told ahead of time of these “surprise visits” and told not to show up. Apparently nobody ever thinks I should be around for these things, and they’re right actually, I would get pretty p~~~ed.
It’s called capitalism for a reason. You’re supposed to gain capital and then leverage it. Only your property and investments mean anything. Some members on here rent out apartments, that’s a good one. Others have several businesses, that works too. Still others maybe just own stocks and bonds, and with a minimalist lifestyle can live off the interest/dividends (I lean more towards that, as well as some businesses these days).
I don’t know why this never sinks in for people, but society hates your guts. It just can’t stand men at all. No matter what you do, it will find a way to attack you, because that’s what it wants to do. It’s not hard to attack someone for everything they do or don’t do if that’s your goal. So why are most men so desperate to “give back” or to “be productive” to “help society?” I laugh at that type of mentality. Take care of yourself and refuse to help others, they’ll start to understand eventually that you treat others the way you want to be treated yourself. It’s a dog eat dog world out there, and men need to start acting like that. When I was younger the motto always was “life isn’t fair”. Seems like people forgot that over time, and just screw themselves over stupidly.

And look who is usually in HR, some short skirt or tight pants wearing gold digging sluts that are absolute sociopaths. Us men need to realize, we are the scum of the earth in society’s eyes. I am not white collar, but i take absolutely nothing from anyone, because i realize being passive just makes them hate you even more. And i show NO LOVE to the lipstick smearing whores in HR because i know who and what they are.
If we listen to a female at all, It's no longer to find out if they're crazy, we know they're crazy, It's to find out what flavor.
