I would love one if it worked. I would turn off the nag me and emo stuff and have something that would keep me on schedule with an interface I could relate to.

I’ve lived alone my whole life (after childhood that is) and although I don’t get lonely—I like solitude it would be nice no and then to talk to someone—even if its just a anime in a bottle.

I really like the idea and the direction they are moving. However,
I don’t want wife .. and I don’t want a friend in a bottle. I realize the current technology is limited in size and scope. I would eventually hope for a holographic housemate who can be projected room to room and outside .. especially to enjoy lounging on the deck in the evening when I grill or barbecue. I realize this will require an extra investment in wiring and infrastructure .. but, I consider it a one time purchase.
I also don’t want her calling me on a cell phone and bothering me unless the house is on fire. I would prefer a non Sweet Lolita .. that cute pastel and the pitch of the voice would need to be changed.
My holographic friend would be a female projection about five feet tall, the voice would be a deeper ‘contralto’ contra-alto and her personality would be agreeable but not sweet. Her appearance would probably be more on the order of an educated thirty year old Goth-Hippie-Chick with teardrop sunglasses, bellbottom jeans and a headband .. who has been fully programmed to enjoy the music and lifestyle of both WoodStock and Haight Ashbury circa 1970. She would also play chess and have been fully vetted and passed rigorous independent testing of her program to be certified as a true virtual holographic Bohemian Unicorn .. named Willow. I think I could live forever with a holo-gal like this.

Does anyone watch Archer? Kreeger has a holographic mate that he created that’s sort of anime that’s very, very awesome. (Archer is a cartoon series, and thus not bound by current technology or reality). I kinda like her.
