Nah, people are assholes, both men and women, and you ran into two female assholes. Don’t read too much into it. I see it frequently when I’m driving around places with crosswalks and pedestrians have the right of way. When they see you coming, they’ll slow down in an effort to make you come to a stop. If you slow down so they can pass, but don’t stop, they’ll flip you the bird and curse at you. They, like most people, we’re trying to assert dominance. When you do not comply, they become angry. The best response is no response. People lose power when you show them they cannot affect your emotions.

A co-worker recently told me, "If you want to see who someone really is, divorce them." I have found out how true this is. When your wife drops the façade of being the caring partner, you will witness all of the greed, hate, and spite that she has masked. It is truly breathtaking!

I had a similar experience last summer at the International Peace Garden, which Straddles the U.S./Canada border. There is a large complex there that houses a vast collection of succulents and cacti. I was walking from one atrium to the other, through a narrow glassed in walkway, and saw two Landwhales approaching, I mean real hambeasts, easily 3-400 pounders. I was halfway down the walkway, which was about 30 feet when I spied them and knew we wouldn’t fit walking abreast so I did what you did: I turned sideways to let them pass. As they passed one of them bumped against me and almost knocked me over, I had to grab a tree trunk to stop from being toppled!

The one hambeast said to the other: “Watch it you almost knocked that man over” and the other hambeast said: “What Man?”. She didn’t even see me! Even after this exchange they kept walking, without apologising, like I didn’t even exist.

I don’t think you are overreacting or its confirmation bias. Its is very disconcerting when:

1.) You try to be courteous
    2.) Your courteousy is ignored
3.) and you are insulted for being courteous.

The icing on the cake, why you are p~~~ed, is our culture not only tolerates this behaviour it encourages and endorses it! This sense of entitlement is the final irritant and why you are ranting.

    Perfectly normal IMHO.

AW, first, I couldn’t live where you do.

To answer your question, it depends entirely who you run in to.

I am in a portion of the States where manners still exist. Women say thank you to men who hold doors, and most men hold doors. I smile at women I would never touch and act like young hot ones smell bad. It totally messes with all of their heads.

It’s up to you to decide. Did you run into two girls working, one of them a stupid bitch? Or are all women utterly repellent where you are.

If you aren’t going full monk you’ll have to find some positives for long enough to get off.

Personally, I’d chalk your irritation up to one bitchy entitled female since you didn’t mention the other one saying anything.

I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

At work I can be at the front of the elevator and when it reaches the floor and the doors open the women at the back will assume they are going to be let out first and try and force their way through.

    Female entitlement.

    Female entitlement.

I shake my head at the women forcing themselves into the elevator, blocking the people trying to get off the elevator.
