And that is wrong. If you paid 20,000 in SALT taxes last year, you got the exact same deduction from the federal government regardless of what state you live in. If you pay 20,000 in SALT taxes this year, you’ll get the same exact deduction from the federal government regardless of what state you live in. The federal government doesn’t change the rules whether you live in California or Kentucky.

What do you not understand? The federal government has nothing to do with what an individual pays for SALT taxes. If people are bitching because they think they’re getting f~~~ed by SALT taxes its because of the state/local government…not the federal.
Civics lesson. SALT stands for State And Local Taxes. They are not set by the federal government.
But is person A is left in poverty for a lifetime of subsidizing person B, person A would want back what was taken from person B and the supporters of person B, with interest.

Unfortunately if you want to go with this definition literally every group of people who revolted against a government would be communist…even in cases where the established government post revolution was not communist governments.
