UN vote/stop sending money

How about the U.S base its decisions less around what is for or against Israel, and more in what is its own national interests? The U.N is useful to gum up works, and America found it cheaper to bribe nations to do its will, with the use of foreign aid, rather than other ways. The whole thing mattered more when the west was competing against Communism, but now it is another issue. America is still tied into Cold War countering relationships, resulting in free rides.
