I don’t like it. It gives the appearance that we are attempting to buy UN votes. Therefore, we should cut all foreign aid regardless of whether or not another country votes for or against whatever the US wants.

This particular issue though, is a joke. I would find it funny, except for the fact that the countries of the world believe they actual have a say in where a country places it’s embassy is downright scary. Why doesn’t the UN just decide to have a resolution stating the US needs to raise taxes on US citizens?

I don’t know that I want the US to back out of the UN completely, but they need to lower funding to average levels, and clearly define what the UN can and cannot do.

Personally I don’t think you should stop at aid, there are a large number of US military bases around the world many in the countries that voted against the US today maintained at US taxpayer expense while providing both enhanced security and economic boosts to the host country. Pull those as well and let the parasites defend themselves. And while we’re one of the few that does pull our weight in NATO I do include the UK in that list, May has shamed this country today.

the more America acts like a spoiled brat by issuing threats when it doesn’t get its way the more it will isolate itself from the rest of the world. America has more or less lost its status as the global leader, even our closest allies can no longer back us. It’s time for the UN to switch to a more truly neutral country that’s accessible and open to all countries rather than at the whim of the US that serves the interest of Israel.

We are no longer in charge of our own country. It’s plain and simple as that.
