That’s the problem with some members. If you don’t agree with them, you’re a troll, and they’ll report you to KM.

You always get that on any forum particularly if yo are critical of certain Idols or widely held opinions.

    Cliques are unavoidable.

The world is mad never expect a pat on the back for point out the truth or the obvious.

That’s the sad thing even on a form that call’s itself MGTOW you still get the herd mentality.

Clearly if you disagree with certain things in a fundamental way such as the nature of TUNA then you most likely are a troll or a blue piller or a TUNA.

I keep saying it but the way to defeat any trolls is to ignore them. It’s as simple as that. Ignore the insults, ignore the antagonistic content and just move to threads and posts that ain’t trolling.

If the troll if offending just hit genie button.
    Let admin sort.

We will be a much tighter bunch and appear more solid and thought through.

I’m on board with you doc. I side with Travis however to make it 5 or 6 members. It’ll rule out anyone with a personal ax to grind.

Ask yourself, “How many trolls are acceptable here?” 1, 2, 100? How do you know you’ve got a troll unless they post, and how are they going to post unless they’re responded to at least a couple of times? Do you see where I’m going with this? Once a troll has been exposed it’s important to do what practically every other website does that has a forum, officially freeze out people who post inappropriate material, in this case by turning them into spectators. I have enjoyed contributing to troll threads. One because I find it to be entertaining, and two because EFFECTIVLY trolls are as much a part of this website as I am. If trolls were such a problem here then we wouldn’t be talking about it right now. There would already be an effective way to get rid of them, instead they’re left to post at will for practically as long as they want to. Until I actually see otherwise demonstrated this will remain the same thing over and over again. Trolls know that they are welcome here and have a relatively legitamet status as members. It’s as obvious as the day is long.

    Yes that’s a good point.
But I am guessing that if a would be troller says something that is antagonistic ignoring them would maybe have the desired effect. That being they just stop trolling. If they persist a number of members can freeze them until KM or admin step in.

You assume that they would stop posting. Does it happen most of the time? Most likely. How many of them posting at once while the admins work it out is acceptable? 1, 2, 300? I say 0. That’s not too much to ask for. Look at what happened to MySpace. It became overrun with junks profiles that people just “ignored.” Porn, escorts, fake accounts, people selling crap. etc. etc. Completely wrecked the entire website. Gave Mr. Facebook guy little to no competition. The rest is history. Did I illustrate my point well enough?

Hmm – yes Travis I have to say you illustrate the problem very well. It doesn’t appear to have an immediate solution.

Got me scratching my head at this moment in time.

Maybe another solution is not to shut down the troller but to maybe move the thread they are trolling on into the litter box. Not necessarily permanently but until KM decides what’s best.

Or if not the litter box maybe away from non account members. So general public can’t see the fight.

Takes the power out of the trollers hands if their aim is to make us look bad.

I see you point but for $5 per month it’s worth it for the amount of PM I send.

Oh it has an immediate solution alright. Make a select group of people able to freeze accounts while KM and the administrators review the situation thereby holding the “select group” accountable. It’s as simple as that. There are trade-offs on either side of this. Both require a certain measure of trust. I personally would rather trust people who have demonstrated a commitment to the integrity of this website to shut down a troll come what may than to simply trust a troll to stop posting. A troll who has already shown a lack of respect for the rules here and for any and all other members. Sorry but those who show themselves to be untrustworthy are exactly that.

I do make sense on occasion. I am willing to be show where I’m wrong too, so don’t think that I’m not open to correction here. Bottom line is that the model that I’m proposing isn’t new at all. It’s been done a million times in a million different way. Our reticence to clean up the clutter is going to be the ultimate demise of this website. Why? We just trust that they’ll go away because we don’t respond. That doesn’t work with diseases, rodents, crime, the weather, car problems, or trolls.

You make a lot of sense Travis. And often if I may say so.

Yes – we need to do something about the trolls. But not just the trolls. Check the whose just joined section and there is clearly tuna signing up. They don’t even hide.
Granted they aren’t active but that could change in a heartbeat.

    What book would that be?

In my book this Leykis character is the exact opposite of mgtow.

Id be careful in deciding who’s MGTOW or not. I’m not going down that rabbit hole of giving men a “purity” test of who’s MGTOW or not, simply because if we go by certain criteria, anyone on this website can be declassified as a MGTOW.

Take my hobbies for instance. I routinely and actively watch hentai and fap to 2D anime waifus every f~~~ing day, sometimes, more than 3 times or more depending on the free time I have.

Other people even on this site would say I’m simping for those 2D anime waifus, which I absolutely am. But, the difference between them and real women, is the fact that they’re not real, so they can’t screw me over like real women can.

Others say in order to be a MGTOW you have to adhere to NoFap standards, live a minimalist lifestyle like Jesus, and avoid getting rich, because the “only reason men get rich is to simp for pussy.”

Other MGTOW would even go so far as to say young men HAVE to get screwed over by women first and foremost to even be considered a MGTOW in the first place to better avoid getting burned by them in the future. So even by that criteria of “what a MGTOW is” would declassify me as a MGTOW.

So no, I’m not going down that rabbit hole of giving other men a f~~~ing purity test on whether or not they’re MGTOW in the first place.

I’m just making observations on how other men live, and as long as they avoid marriage, they are a MGTOW in my books.
