Don’t waste a perfect domain (mgtow.com) on juvenile looking crap spitting facebook-like mess. Keep a KISS principle. I’m serious, it’s not OK.
Other than that, great stuff you got going here.
If you’re good with the content, who cares what it looks like? It’s a damn sight better than the s~~~ they run on Reddit or 4chan, that’s for sure. Can’t say for Tumblr cause I’ve never been there but I imagine it looks all colorful and sparkly like a 15 year old aposematic social justice warrior who cuts herself while she fantasizes about being objectified by the bourgeois.
It does matter. I want a nice overview over the threads. I do not want to keep scrolling down every 2-3 items (facebook).
Above all else, a clean interface without animations and images makes the site load faster.
I agree with the KISS principle DoctorBorat, you are right. Which is why it should not change, because it would be simpler to keep it the way it is. Stop acting like a hypocrite by trying to make things more complex than they really are.
Not really sure where you are getting at, but I’m confident that having OP’s and “last repliers” avatar shown in each and every one of the thread titles is not conducive to a smooth browsing experience. It’s ugly and bloated.
I agree that the forum could use some improvements. It’s been auto formatting HTML into my posts and could use a general cleanup.
Not really sure where you are getting at
Stop making things complicated.
Anonymous23It looks absolutely fine. The mobile optimisation is the most important thing for the majority of us that browse MGTOW Forums on our phones.
Yes, it looks great. I wouldn’t change the way it looks, but it definitely could use functionality improvements.
@ynys The most important thing is to optimize it for all users, not just mobile users.
Well hello new member Dr. Borat! Nice avatar! You look so happy and like you’d never show up at someone else’s house, fail to introduce yourself and start complaining about the furniture hahahaha. I’m trying to think of the last time I went to a kick ass website that took 25000 man hours to build and started telling people what I want…hmmmm….that would be NEVER.
I like the website. Just pointing out some stuff I feel can be improved upon. I also feel it’s slow at times, opening pages and such (especially when you have several tabs open). I’ve never been fond of websites with flashy graphics, animations and widgets for that reason.

Quite the opposite.

Honest directness is admirable but doesn’t always get the desired result. By phrasing it this way you immediately aggravate those responsible for it for no good reason. Had you said something like this, you would not have met with negative responses:
“Enjoying the posts but I have a few suggestions to improve the forum appearance”
I would have chosen the last, considering the forum costs us absolutely nothing to join and has been created and maintained by others whose effort is uncompensated by us. Just my 2 cents.
If the fonts are too Big The you can always zoom out with YOUR browser settings.
The site loads up fine for me, no slow down here, try clearing your cache in YOUR browser.
But really man, your last post should’ve been your First post.

Your only limit is your connection. From there you are cached. The forum is deliberately not cached for logged in members so they can see the latest posts by everyone.
This is the kind of c~~~ who would complain a red pill tastes like s~~~ too. You all gave more of a f~~~ than you should. And until he writes us a f~~~ing check he can stop behaving like we work for him. Unless you’re paying someone a s~~~ load of money, you don’t talk to people like that. He’s out of his f~~~ing mind.
“I’m serious, it’s not OK.” is something a woman says when she gets a gift with a plug – instead of diamond earrings.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.I remember back in the day there was a group of “super designers” who would nitpick every little aspect of everyone’s site… from the line spacing of the text (which had to be sans serif for optimal readability) to the color palette which had to be “web safe” so that it would render exactly the same on Explorer and Netscape. They even tried to limit the number of colors in .gif images to “preserve bandwidth” for other “important sites” that “don’t have the privilege of the big web servers that corporations use”… as if that even meant anything at all!
Six months later those same “user experience professionals” were producing graphically dense, print layout style web sites straight out of the pages of Wired with impossiblely convoluted formatting and “distressed” type that was illegible at any size and spacing.
They sounded a lot like this guy… full of “constructive” criticism that starts out being a lot more critical than constructive and is packed with personal preferences and value judgements. Whatever useful ideas you may have had got lost in the tone… maybe you should learn how to communicate meaningful information without condescension.

I’m not MRA. How fast the cache file is served does not equate to how fast a page does open for a broad demographic of internet users.

You are clearly overreacting.

I’m very humble with people I dislike, but I’m frank and honest with my close friends. I do ocassionally call them s~~~head, and worthless pieces of trash. I do like the use of a more passionated vocabulary because it elicits responses not normally heard of in “safe and comfortable” communities like facebook.
Anyone can see we don’t give a f~~~ about current constraints and say it plainly on http://mgtow.com/website. But we DO give a f~~~ about current technologies and staying lightyears ahead of others. The entire site is mobile responsive and self adjusts according to what device your on…. an a recent teacher of multimedia and UX design experts say they uses MGTOW.com as the example for others. Our s~~~ is rigorous.
Don’t waste a perfect domain (mgtow.com)
That’s clearly someone who really wants it, and can’t afford it…. but still talks like he f~~~ing owns it.
You don’t don’t walk into someone’s house as their guest and say “I’m serious. it’s not OK”.
That’s not an “overreaction”. You are totally out of line and it’s the best away to be ignored. You MAY make suggestion and ASK QUESTIONS like other people have in the QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS forum.
• “would it be possible to?.. ”
• “is there a reason this website?…”
• “Have you considered?….”You are out of your f~~~ing mind and need some goddam manners. That’s not an overreaction. That’s a fact.
And in all your arrogance you thought this was “MGTOW CENTRAL” worthy. You’re a miserable, ungrateful attention whore who calls Starbucks headquarters when her Pumpkin Spice Latte isn’t hot enough…. when using a gift card to pay for it. I’ve dumped women better than that.
If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.I would say that there is a considerable amount of users who would feel a “sluggish” experience having to load all that graphic (imagine several tabs) but you say you don’t care about current constraints and that you instead prioritize staying on the bleeding edge. That’s ok. You have made that decision as a developer and now that I do “know about it”, I respect that.
That’s clearly someone who really wants it, and can’t afford it…. but still talks like he f~~~ing owns it.
That’s not the case at all.
Edit:

I’ll post further questions in the apropriate forum. As for the rest of the stuff, I’m not sure what to say. I’d rather go watch a movie.
Until you write us a big fat f~~~ing check then you can speak to people like that.
We’ve quit jobs and dumped clients better than you.
As for the rest of the stuff, I’m not sure what to say. I’d rather go watch a movie.
That’s an excellent idea. Your best one yet.
