    Why is it acceptable in this society to sacrifice your own happiness for somebody else’s? Why would’t you use your resources, time and money, to make yourself happy as a priority in life?

    There is no shame in that, how could anyone possibly help others without having helped themselves first. Do what makes you happy, anyone who gives you guff for that wants something from you or does not have your best interest in mind, either way pay them no mind.
