In Germany you always risked a court case if you openly denied the holocaust.

When I researched Auschwitz for my book I watched a video that was done by a German film student. He said in his video that his generation wore a cloak of guilt over World War 2, but he wanted to understand why. He pointed out that they weren’t taught WW2 history in school. Why is that? Denying young people the opportunity to learn history is more detrimental than denying the holocaust. Germany has opened its borders to Muslim refugees, many of whom hate Jews more than the rest of the west. Iran’s former president Achmidinajad (however it’s spelled) was a vocal holocaust denier. Now Germany wants to criminalize denying the holocaust? Germany’s government has already criminalized themselves by not educating their population better and by executing bad foreign policy. No wonder they’re s~~~ting their pants over Brexit. They don’t need hate speech laws, they need common sense in government and education…just like America does. But, that’s a topic for another thread.

I KNOW that. I swear. I am referring to a recent – and the first time I – heard it, which was not even a month ago, that some people actually believe it never happened. I grew up in a Polish neighborhood full of people who came here after the war. There was a German family down the street and the Poles in my neighborhood hated it that I played with their kid. His father fought for the Whermacht during the war. He was the only kid I ever knew who had German military toys. I ran into a guy from Tennessee on a plane back in the 80’s. Today, the German education system is so f~~~ed up that nobody learns real skills except how to use sex toys.

Back in my days, we had 80 percent boys in our last (10th grade) “A level” class, because the girls dropped out year after year.

And in classes 11 to 13 at tech-school, no girls at all.

What can you expect from a watered down education system that makes girls win and boys lose?
