The Notion That MGTOW is Selfish

So I come across a MGTOW related book, and unsurprisingly find a bluepill type comment. To paraphrase, the guy says men going on strike are selfish, where selfishness means putting your interests above others. What do you guys think, are we selfish in a bad sense?

Let’s use the above definition of selfishness (ignoring its negative connotations i.e. profiting at other’s expense in some contexts).

Let’s consider the decision to go one’s way, go on strike or avoid relationships with women etc with the stage light focused on bachelors with no kids.

The decision to “go on strike” solely involves these men, their unborn children’s interests or non-existent girlfriend/wive’s interests don’t come into play. In other words you can’t accuse the men of putting their interests above others in such a decision because the interests of a wife/child are non-existent in the first place.

Furthermore, by the going their own way these men (and I believe some will given they are already doing so despite being in relationships) can use their freedom to add value to society, drive innovation in healthcare, improve the human experience and other good things that benefit others. Thus making such men’s decisions unselfish or at worst neutral. Neutral in the sense they may profit from their work but so does society.

Surely this is better than funding designer bags or valentine’s day gifts for girlfriends.

These men can still show love to their friends, families and people they meet but not in the context of a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship or marriage.

I have now proved that you cannot categorically use the word selfish to describe such men. However, I would be dishonest if I didn’t agree that the motivations for some men to go on strike could be in the spirit of not wanting to share THEIR resources (time, money etc).

Notwithstanding you can’t use the blanket term selfish.

The MGTOW mentality states that you work for and make decisions that work in your best interest. You don’t do anything that puts you out of your way. Go forward and reach for the stars. I’ve learned that when you choose to travel on different paths from others, you reach higher destinations. So do what you have to do to make sure that your future is everything that it can be. I think that just being of the MGTOW mentality is already a success. Your already a step in the right direction. Now put all that energy into whatever makes you happy, that thing that drives you every morning, let it drive you to the accomplished dreams and goals that you have always wanted.

I know i’m gonna put forth my best effort in everything that I do because I have a goal in mind, and by God I will accomplish it. I’m headed to the top, look forward to seeing you guys there as well. Plus, KeyMaster is bringing the beer, so atleast put your all into everything so we can clean out his fridge.

I love that remark when made at me. I’m told I’m selfish for not wanting kids and a marriage. I respond by saying, “No, what’s selfish is conning someone into a legally binding relationship, discarding their dreams, pilfering their earnings, and creating new life simply because, you “want a baby” to fullfill some shorted out wire in your brain because you’ve gone baby crazy, only to later want to be free and wild and quit your job as parent because it isn’t cool anymore.”

Who is more selfish? Take the man who refuses to selflessly sacrifice himself for the desires of women but instead chooses to support himself only without being a burden on any other. Is he selfish? Then what about the woman who insists he work for her? That he give up his life to make her happy. That he give up his future for her, not his, children. That he make her a priority over himself. Now THAT is selfish.

Calling men “selfish” is just lame projection from selfish, greedy, lazy women who don’t want to earn their own keep. Just look at the editorials and personal ads from them: nothing but demands of what she expects him to do for her, with nothing to offer in return.

Women are inherently selfish. Men aren’t. And MGTOW aren’t selfish either. MGTOW simply refuse to abide female selfishness. And selfish women can’t handle that.

But that is not our problem.

How is it selfish, people are free to live a life they choose .. Imagine the taxes we pay in uk with no children taking schooling or health services.

There is no bad connotation at all to the word selfish. Every single choice every person makes anywhere will be made it that person’s selfish interest.

• You give to a charity because you are selfish … you value the feeling of giving more than you do the money in the bank.
•You help a neighbor dig a ditch for free … you value the neighborly relationship more than your down time.
• Etc

People think that is selfless giving but it is not – it is just making a decision on what is in your best interest based upon a person’s values and beliefs. MGTOW for us is in our interest. It is a personal choice that affects absolutely nobody but us. Those lonely chicks who can’t find a good man, well, they are free to act in their best interest and try, but they are wasting their time with us – but you’ll never be able to say chicks are chasing guys because they care about what is in his interest – it is always only her interest she is interested in maximizing, and nothing more.

I challenge anyone to give me one choice a person makes that is not in his/her interest, given the alternative. You’ll never be able to.

This is the funny part…if divorces weren’t filed for primarily by women, and divorce laws were not biased so the selfish women got the better deal 99.999% of the time…maybe so many men wouldn’t be walking the f~~~ away from marriage. There’s a great difference between having self interest and being selfish.

As for the so-called “Marriage Strike”, what’s occurring isn’t a strike. As H.L. Mencken once explained, “There’s always a well-known solution to every human problem; neat, plausible and wrong“.

While the term “Marriage Strike” is a quick way to describe the thinking within MGTOW, the term also describes MGTOW completely incorrectly.

The “Marriage Strike” isn’t a strike because the word strike presumes that a worker will return to his job when his demands are met and that negotiations will take place between the striker and their employer.

The “Marriage Strike” isn’t a strike because the men involved are never coming back. The “Marriage Strike” isn’t a strike because there is nothing to negotiate. The “Marriage Strike” isn’t a strike because slaves don’t strike.

There is no “Marriage Strike”. Instead there is an exodus, an escape, and an emancipation occurring.

We’re going our own way and we’re never coming back.

Do not date. Do not impregnate. Do not co-habitate. Above all, do not marry. Reclaim and never again surrender your personal sovereignty.

Everything is selfish. People who volunteer for charities etc are even selfish as they are doing it for themselves as much as anyone else.

People who have kids are selfish as many of them like the idea of having a family and someone they hope will look after them when they get old.

Selfishness is a good thing and we all get to choose in which way we get to be selfish.

Selfish is also another Guilt Trip the SJW’s like to play on people.

Just nod when they call you an insult, take away their thunder. F~~~ them.
