Thinking about that and not raging about the past is the hardest step to make.
You are full of wisdom, brother Cu.
Speaking of which, you don’t meet too many women ‘full of wisdom’
in fact I don’t think I’ve ever met a woman who gives legit advice

It depends on the type of advice actually and the type of woman. I find that I can go to my mother for certain things and she gives me good advice. That is probably the only woman I would say has given me sound advice when I needed it.
Women compete with men so certainly they don’t give them good advice. They give them enough advice to keep the plough being pulled by her work horse husband and no more than that.
After all, he’s an uneducated animal.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.
The very fact that you have made it this far, having endured and dealt with all that life has thrown at you so far, makes you a winner, not a loser. Stop beating yourself up, you are always better than you think you are.

Thanks man! Reading that made me smile.

My mom gives good fashion advice and that’s it. She knows how to dress me so that everyone compliments my clothes.
Now I know that sounds gay, but I’m 100% serious -and straight. My mom can make me look good and that’s it. Not dissing all moms out there just sayn about mine.
I still go with her to buy my clothes, but I pay for them these days

Good Topic,
I did come up with a topic that addresses the meaning of life too, it has a short story that explains it nicely! Check it out when you have some spare time. Nice to have you onboard BuckFitches.
You must own a better Crystal ball than I1) define laziness, becouse all you need to live is water, food, a roof over your head, and not getting sick.
All else is bulls~~~ we invented.
I want to retire st 50, small cabin in the mountains in the caribean, Toyota Land Cruiser 1976 bj40, Saint Bernard dog, and a Winchester 1894 rifle, nothing else. Food, water, and my place.
Don’t need anything else, won’t have anything else.
Am I lazy?
To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.
As an atheist leaning towards outright nihilism, I think the meaning of life is to feel like garbage.
Really, though, to me, it’s up to the individual to find out what they want to do. Used to think doing for other people in general was enough for me, until I learned most people walk all over each other. I like to make art, jokes, write stories, etc., but it’s all with the understanding that if I’m not personally enjoying it, attention gained from other people may as well be worth s~~~. So my own satisfaction, wellbeing, and peace of mind come first.
"I have the fury of my own momentum." "With this ring I thee wed. Fire walk with me."
Anonymous0I think that life has no inherent meaning because I do not believe in a benevolent creator that has a purpose for us. (I do believe in a possibly creational mechanism responsible for the laws of QM). Neither do I believe in free will, or do I believe that life is valuable. I consider myself a device, a mechanism, a machine, an animated object able to feel pleasure and pain, to love, to hope, to dream, to despair, to enjoy and to mourn.
Therefore, my philosophy is that I should maximise the value of the equation (Total pleasure in life) – (Total pain in life).
Pain and pleasure are subjective and depend on your character. Fo ex. a sadist considers torturing people to be pleasurable, whereas a moral individual would find it painful. An ESFP considers partying to be pleasurable, while a Schizoid finds it excruciatingly painful.
On your deathbed or in the final months of old age, you have no more hope of accumulating significant (to the equation) further pleasure and most that awaits you is considerable pain: That of regrets, physical pain, mental anguish such as fear and the sadness of having to say goodbye. Hence, it is important to have maximised aforementioned equation BEFORE you die, especially when you do not expect to die suddenly, due to lifestyle or suicide.
A person such as myself would never forgive himself if he’d not fully exploit his talents, so I’m working on a project that would perhaps cure infectious diseases forever, instantly and without any resistance to the treatment ever developing in the microorganisms. One does not need to be an empathic do-gooder to embark on such a life project – one merely needs to know of nothing more interesting to do. In my case, my project would help optimise the outcome of my equation for other people apart from myself. I am a robot, a computer, working on optimising the input to equations, in order to obtain optimal outputs.
Anonymous54Over thinking, all or nothing thinking, black and white thinking can cause motivational paralysis.
I have to help mankind, or Im a total loser.
Think in smaller increments.
Try thinking of it as..I will help in small ways when the opertunity presents it self.
In the mean time, take a walk in nature.
Overy simple?
Yes.
Effective?
Try it!
Anonymous3i’m still learning not to beat myself up…theres lots of that from society, no need for me to help them do it…
i can’t do a damned thing about birds flying about but i can stop them from making a nest on my head…
if i’m lazy sooner or later i get tired of seeing the mess or what i need to do and motorvate my ass to get it done…
Anonymous3What is the meaning of a tree? Its usefullness? Does a tree exists to provide us with fruit?
And it it is a thing of beauty, if it provides shade, isnt it meaning enough?I think we instrumentalize everything, where we say “meaning” we actually talk of providing service.
Now, how about providing service to yourself?
Being lazy is the ultimate sin in terms of being a good SLAVE. Yet, a time of relaxation and contemplation of life is not wasted. Reading a good book is no waste. Dinking a good beverage while looking at life going by is no waste.
What is a waste is negative thinking, putting yourself down.
The red pill can go deeper than women and society, it goes to challenge your own conceptions of yourself. Because these where the result of slave training…
Are we good slave workers? Are we producing good value for our masters? Or are we wasting time in non productive activities for the masters?
I’m pretty sure if you torture a sadist he’d find it painful.

I have a degree in philosophy and come from a religious background. My favorite treatment on the subject is the book of Ecclesiastes from the Bible. It surveys all of human activity, and then basically says–make sure to enjoy yourself, and give it all you’ve got. So all the points listed above (from everyone) are excellent.
Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics answers that happiness is best found by living a life of virtue, and that the ultimate value is the “journey” of becoming virtuous.
I tend to be ambitious and get caught up in the contributing to the world bit, that I sometimes forget my health or to slow down and have a good time. Going my own way has been helpful in reminding me to live my life the way I desire to, within the limits of reality that I face, and to do things for myself.
"Once you’ve taken care of the basics, there’s very little in this world for which your life is worth deferring." -David Hansson. "It’s not when women are mean or nasty that anything is out of the ordinary. It’s when they are NICE to you that you have to be on high alert..." -Jackinov.
It’s pointless pondering on things we’ll never have the answers to, hence the NFG policy. You can however start with the basics and take care of yourself and be the happiest person in the world or be miserable and white knight for humanity that will never remember or appreciate you. Most people can’t even remember what they did a day or a week before and unless the media hypes you no one will even know your name. Nature rewards individuals who look out for their own success first and foremost, remember that.
Be ambitious, smart, and disciplined and you’ll realize you already have more than what you need.
Δεν υπάρχει τίποτε αδύνατο γι’ αυτόν που θα προσπαθήσει. - Μέγας Αλέξανδρος
Anonymous14Atheist bordering on Nihilist as well here… The only meaning to life is that which you give it, outsiders be damned.
We are all just star dust temporarily cursed in our current form with the ability to contemplate such things…
Anonymous14Oh, and as far as laziness…
This one is a gem-Laziness in UNDERATED! That’s right in many contexts its a virtue. We in the west have been brainwashed by the “protestant work ethic” to believe we should always be “productive”. Its a sham. Half the time doing less is more. Think about it… you could “do something” and it could have a positive or negative effect, you might even make things worse. Do nothing and you haven’t made anything worse. You are under no obligation, not ever, to be something or someone. Unless you VOLUNTARILY obligate yourself to a wife, a child, friends family, you owe nothing, are required to do nothing, other than take care of yourself.
