Yes, they did create the foundations that created our present situation. The previous generations were not perfect, but they possessed something we have lost.

There is still true masculinity though not at the levels it used to be. MGTOW is an example. John Wayne is mocked by people these days yet he was spot on right in his observations unlike say Sean Penn.

I’m also of the opinion the single mom epidemic has played a major role too.

The one thing I hate most about my generation is that even a lot of straight men in my generation seem to carry this sort of flamboyance about them. Like “metrosexuals” for example:

South Park is a bit of an exaggeration, but a lot of guys especially in my generation, have a little bit of the same flamboyance as in the video. You’d never see this kind of s~~~ even 50 years ago.

Masculinity isn’t lost…it was just restructured and redefined to suit our needs.

Because, look, we had good old ‘tough’ men with big chests and of towering heights because it was demanded of a man at that time to be like that.

But now there remains little of the ‘need’ to be big and strong and rough; so masculinity passed from just being plain old brawns and rough attitudes into something more: I’d like to believe intelligence.

Just look at the number of influential male speakers we have the world over; people who excel at their fields; people who single-handedly make differences in this world every day. Masculinity is not ‘lost’. It has just evolved. You can say it has lost its older form, but it will never be lost until men get made out of artificial sperms.

I truly believe that if history repeats itself anytime in the future, we will see the return of the good old masculine men.

I suspect some are cultural like feminism, entertainment brainwashing, and a captive legal system.
My other hypothesis would be chemical pollutant contamination in what we consume. Many chemicals contained in plastics and a slew of others bind to Estrogen receptors. I remember when everything came in glass jars and bottles not plastic.
Girls are having their first periods and growing breasts at ridiculously young ages. Manginas actually sport a feminine look to them.

No disrespect CP, it’s not that I disagree entirely, but I think that it is being repressed and not in decline. Nature has made men into not women, and to suggest that it is in decline in just two or three generations is questionable/debatable.

Agreed. There have always been poofters and manginas since forever. Paris, Romeo, Tybalt, Mercutio types from Ahsley vs. Rhett Butler, to Han Solo and Luke. Not every man was James Garner even then, and then you find out Vin Diesel smokes pole. But does that mean he’s not “masculine”? He’s like the poster boy for “masculine” right down to his voice.

Ask a woman what “masculine” is and it’s whatever is USEFUL to her, else you’re “not a real man”. So the word and definition itself is a joke.

Masculinity as defined by women is slavery to her needs…. but, of course, they won’t be so direct. They’ll say things like:

I read about some study showing a global (not just American) drop in men’s testosterone levels, across all adult age brackets. It seems unlikely that this would result only from social engineering. The plastics, estrogen in the water, and factory farming are likely candidates, IMO.

I distill my tap water before drinking it. I realize this has a marginal effect…nearly all our food contacts plastic before it gets to us. But still, drinking distilled water at gives me a sense of purity.

Aside: there is a lot of misinformation in the Internet about distilled water…I researched it in depth and it does NOT leech minerals from your body, nor upset your PH balance. But it DOES require a tiny bit of effort to distill and store the water, which is enough to drive people away from it.

It is wise to fear dangerous commitments.

My take on this issue is that the problem is easy life.

There are no hardships, dangers or fear.

In such peacefull environment there is little use for the more masculine traits, so society repress them. Women feel free not to behave, do what they want, and have no need for men. It’s all fun and games.

But when SHTF things change! A woman alone is just a victim. They need men for protection and basic survival, so they have to behave. Male traits become very usefull and necessary. Society praises and acknowledges masculinity.

Some sociologists opine that men as a group are becoming poorer, dumber, sicker, lonelier and marginalized. And they raise some valid points.

Male virtues such as physical strength, aggression, self-sufficiency are not displayed as in the past.

Theories abound on this subject. Books have been written about testosterone drain, diet, etc.

Who turned men into effeminate beings?
My opinion (I could be wrong)- women are responsible for a lot of this.
Women willfully feminised men to make them less masculine.
But men have been culpable also. After all, they let women do it to them.

I honestly think MGTOW is helping men become more masculine. I know it has helped me.
