Strong independent women

“Strong, independent women” -this is a phrase that we hear dozens of times a day on the liberal media. Its like a mantra, a holy grail of public policy and education and yet also a compulsory ingredient in the every day crap they feed us. A woman cannot be praised without her being held up to be “strong and independent”. A fictitious female heroine is only acceptable to liberals if they feel that she has these virtues.

So this Christmas eve I sit pondering how feminists have taken two classic male archetypes -strength and independence and fed them back to us while changing their meaning.

What I am getting at is this -how do you define strong and independent gentlemen? I bet it is not “very touchy, cannot take criticism or any suggestion that I might not be the best, refuse to take any authority, make demands for things that I do not deserve and do not intend to pay for, will be unfaithful if I like, will use you if I like, don’t tell me what to do or I will be sure to do the opposite, I can change my mind when I like, I do what I feel like…” This looks like the classic bad female behaviours that women have been criticised for over generations. Yet these are the behaviours that the establishment tend to praise as “Strong and independent”

I bet your definition of “strong and independent” might be more along the lines of “Reliable, capable strong enough to know my limits and not be ashamed or afraid of them, ask for help only when desperate and don’t even like it then, always pay my way, can be relied on, don’t follow the herd in my ideas but if I need to accept authority or failure or coming second then I can take it because I am whole and complete and valid in myself, if I agree to help you I will be there doing it no matter how I feel. You can rely on me because I can rely on myself…”

Now if there was a woman who was all of the paragraph above, she really would be strong and independent. What a NAWALT! However what I am seeing is the supposedly “strong and independent women” are actually demonstrating the AWALT behaviours I first listed above.

Any thoughts on this gents, any ideas to add to the female and male definitions of “Strong and independent”?

It seems to me that here we have been sold female bad behaviour rebranded as our own cherished virtues, its a very cheap and dirty trick of language. Just as the men of old knew, a woman’s tongue really is her prime weapon.

You know how nature has really colorful characteristics for toxic and venomous creatures, and that’s a warning to stay away? And how women with funny colored hair and tattoos and gaudy clothing are the same?

Well nature also has noises which indicate a dangerous creature. From shrieks to roars to hisses to rattles. All of those are warnings, get away.

When you hear women saying they’re “strong and independent” that is your warning, get away. Get away and then laugh afterwards when you’re safe.

Honestly. I would like to see a double-blind study done where women were separately asked one of two, with both questions not being asked to same the women at the same time. The questions being to define what “strong and independent” means for a man. And to define what “strong and independent” means for a woman.

I believe the answers will be very different.

Great idea. I think that would be a very simple yet very powerful experiment for a psychologist to undertake.
Its funny a woman will usually be attracted to a someone she is told is a “strong independent man”. However a wise man, as Phoenix suggests, will run for the hills when a woman is described as such. I think this is because we actually know in our hearts that they are talking about totally different things.

Whenever I hear the words strong and independent woman; I think that somewhere in her orbit is a man making it happen for her. Supporting her with money, a place to stay, children to use as bargaining chips in a divorce etc etc.

Women merely think they are strong and independent.

I see it as a collective delusion.
They have no insight into their delusion.

If by chance they do then a large dose of denial is present. They pay attention to and actively seek out information confirming their own bias.

Usually this is the echo chamber media and their friends and female colleagues who are all equally lacking insight, deluded, living in denial or applying confirmation bias together.

My ex told me she’s strong and independent. That’s why she’s in £30000 of debt, had her driving licence taken off her and been booted out of a decent home, living on a sink council estate.

I’m just content in my own home, that I worked my ass off to buy in the country. It’s nice to wake up to picturesque snow covered mountains and forests every morning.

Strangely enough, my other ex told me that she was “strong and independent”. That’ll be why she hasn’t had a job since 2004 (she suffers from various aches and stress), has ridden the c~~~ carousel since she was a pre-pubescent teen and depends entirely on taxpayers money to survive.

Now she’s in her mid thirties, she’s got cats for company.
