You have to understand it’s a three way contract between you, her, and the state. And you are very much the minor party in the deal. She and the state can change the terms of the contract at any time without your consent. In fact consent is the very heart of the contract.

And they try to presume that consent (through “common law” bulls~~~ etc.) in any way they can.
