I had been a big fan of the series since the first movie (1977). It influenced my life in many, many ways, but let’s be honest – it was a movie. I went to see the Force Awakens, and as a fan, I enjoyed it. As a MGTOW, it did not bother me at all to see the “all powerful” Rey. Yes, she is a female protagonist, and apparently she is a “super bad ass” character… but remember… it is a movie… by the largest entertainment media corporation in the planet… made to be a cash cow… for decades to come.
1) To $ell merchandise, the new heroes and villains had to represent not only Whites, but also the rest of the population of the World. Disney and Co. wants to sell toys and other merch in all the 7 continents.
2) Feminist Skywalker is NOT a new idea. Luke Skywalker was female at one time (Lucas was writing the character as a woman), then decided to return to the male character. Why? He wanted to sell toys to boys – and a female lead wont do the trick. Now, they want to sell toys to both girls and boys – so be ready for the cute Rey / BB-8 / R2D2 / Chewbacca toys for the girls and the rest (lightsabers / ships / guns ) to the boys. The funniest thing? The super-heroine’s name means KING in Spanish – and it is a man’s name…
3) Han Solo was not killed because he was politically incorrect. He died because Harrison Ford wanted the character to die since the first Star Wars (1977). Remember the “carbonite freeze”? No one knew if he would agree to film a 3rd movie…
4) BTW, “General Leia” was already a thing by the second movie (Empire Strikes Back). She did not carry the title, but she was giving military and tactical orders during the battle scenes.
Remember… it is just a movie… made by a corporation making lots and lots of money…
So, once again, feminists manage to poison and corrupt a good thing.
No weakness for Rey to overcome. Made her character boring. Mind you Kylo Ren had been shot with chewie’s gun and stabbed by Finn.
Rey is probably Luke’s daughter. In her flashback, the guy she sells parts to told her to be quiet. Then you can hear Obi Wan call her name.
I think Finn is not who we think he is. Maybe a descendant of Mace Windu or something. I think he might even be Sith, trying to recruit Rey.
I thought Obi Wan was room temperature? Or is that just a title?
The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.I knew this type of franchise butchering was on the way when I heard Abrams was doing the film. He destroyed the Star Trek franchise with that terrible reboot that was full of pointless action scenes and the usual lazy writing conveniences to get round plot points
Star Trek eg Kirk lands on a planet right next to old Spock
Star Wars eg the awful lightspeeding through solid objectstypical Hollywood crap that the masses eat up
It really is that bad, I can confirm this because I went to see it despite knowing it would be a female lead (which means it would be a feminist dance theory session throughout). I wanted it to be good, I hoped it would be. I did it because I didn’t want it to end up being good and I missed the chance to see it in theaters. Unluckily for me, it really was just that bad.
Every part of it was blatantly liberal, as for the story, it was trash. It doesn’t need any explanations, it was bad.
I think that reviewer pretty much hit the nail on the goddamn head. Granted, I saw this movie under the influence of LSD, so my opinion might be somewhat warped by the effects of the drug, but if anything my ingrained red pill teachings made certain things stick out like a sore thumb:
-How has every last trace of the Empire not been wiped clean from the galaxy, akin to what Germany did to all Nazi-related paraphernalia after World War II? That, and it seemed like the Empire was on it’s deathbed at the end of Episode VI, but I digress…
-Han Solo and Leia Organa’s relationship and presumed marriage was a complete disaster, it was like a sci-fi version of the “free love” 1960s relationships most of our parents went through that ended in divorce (end-result of hypergamy)
-I can rationalize Rey being a powerful Jedi as Ren seems to be just as strong (he was able to hold that laser blast in place at the beginning of the film), I think she seemed to “accidentally” discover that she can use a Jedi mind trick in that one scene, HOWEVER that above all else shouted feminism at me because I interpreted it as the script saying: “Look, you don’t have to be stuck with a second-rate man (stormtrooper), if you’re unhappy then tell him to leave and HE WILL! Just wait long enough and a man like Finn might come along to give you the tingles you desire”
-The slicing and dicing of Han Solo was a disgrace to his character, the Corellian swashbuckler we all know and love would’ve gone-out with a BANG, not a whimper
-Kylo Ren is pathetic, what are his motivations? He wants to be like his grandfather? Why? He’s a coward, using his mask to intimidate others whereas Vader actually REQUIRED his mask to survive; true Sith do not cower behind masks
-Supreme Leader Snoke sucks, he’s just a lame version of Emperor Palpatine… I feel like both Snoke and Ren are knock-offs of the better characters that came before them
-Why does it seem like EVERY member of the First Order are sniveling white manginas? It’s almost as if they’re some kind of white supremacist movement
-I’m hoping that Rey actually turns-out to be the daughter of Han and Leia because in the Expanded Universe the couple have twins (one Jedi and another Sith), although that would be pretty similar to the whole Luke/Leia twin thing
I was disappointed because I’ve seen some of Abrams’ other movies and they are usually pretty entertaining, but this one bothered me the whole way through; I say just stick to what the novels and comic books from the Expanded Universe created over several decades post-Episode VI, I’m actually reading the Dark Horse graphic novels right now and they do the material justice in a more realistic manner:

https://www.darkhorse.com/Books/16-556/Star-Wars-The-Thrawn-Trilogy-HCLSD is still a thing? I haven’t seen any since those two guys got busted in that old missile silo in Kansas in the late 90’s.
Seriously though, I think the guy who wrote this review is probably projecting a little. Not entirely, but some.
Nobody has mentioned that it’s Kathleen Kennedy signing off on all the girl power nonsense, and she’s pretty direct about it in interviews. Finn was definitely a huge missed opportunity for setup for later conflict between Finn and Rey. If they had made him force sensitive instead of the bumbling garbageman (OF COURSE he’s a garbageman. He’s a black guy, right?) who is maybe a little gay for the starting quarterback (Poe), think of all the goddamn directions that could have gone. But nope, he’s established as the goofball mangina trash-boy chasin’ after massa’s daughter. They should have just pushed it the rest of the way and had him carrying a watermelon under one arm and a bucket of KFC under the other.LSD is still a thing? I haven’t seen any since those two guys got busted in that old missile silo in Kansas in the late 90’s.
Interesting. Can you provide a link that gives more details on the men in the missile silo?
And I am proud to say that it is still a thing! (or at the very least, it is within a certain subdivision of my friend circle) with the advent of the deep web (and Silk Road in particular), access to any kind of illegal thing you can think of is pretty much available at your fingertips, which espouses a sort of “if you build it, they will come” philosophy. You simply pay for it via bitcoin and the seller ships it to you in a discreet package that is made to look like something else (in case it happens to be opened prematurely).

Mmm. Come to think of it. There are some better market places down their after silk road was taken off the map.
I do use the darknets to get some books, and I did pick up a few tricks on cracking systems. In exchange for info of course. Although I didn’t think that lsd is still around.
Actions have consequences and consequences have prices. Cause and effect at work.
Damn that’s a good read. To be fair though, I gave up on Star Wars even before this movie was released. I hated how Disney is taking ridiculous liberties with the lore. Namely Kylo Ren’s stupid cross guard saber and finally the last straw for me, helicopter light sabers:
Honestly I’m f~~~ing done with disney sjwars. The prequels may have been really bad, but they had at least a decent story of the fall of the Republic.
Oh and also “Mace Dindu” holy s~~~ my sides were gone when I read that lol

they are terrible!
Why do people watch action flicks anymore? Its jokingly obvious by now that the theme of it will just be emasculation. I just really don’t understand why so many men are still watching this trash.

it is just because it is Star Wars…Ep 7 just had to be watched but I have now been stung and won’t watch any future releases as I don’t watch films that push agendas
same goes for the new Star Trek and various franchises in gaming. I am now strict and if I sense any feminist s~~~ I won’t spend a penny on that thing again
the ONE time Disney finally deviated from it,
I think they’ve been deviated from the princess theme a lot … starting with 1994’s the Lion King. There was Hunchback, Tarzan, Cars, Toy Story.
Are you referring to Frozen? (yeah, 2 princesses, but not looking for a prince.Tinder: Old women looking for security-betas. Men looking for ... the same old thing (and it's getting older all the time). No sex, no people, no problems
I was and still am a Star Wars (George Lucas) fan
This new crap is clearly feminist s~~~ and I don’t need to see another Disney brainwashing after this one – makes me want to puke.
Intentionally poor script – poor acting – poor everything else. For those of you who haven’t seen it – DON’T
PS I have lost all respect for Chief Mangina Abrams.
Sick F~~~ and Pussy Worshipper.I didn’t see force awakens because I figured femnism has ruined it. Aside from MGTOW, other people seemed dissapointed with it too. The last election sort of showed how tired people are of the SSJ/femnist types. I did see Rogue One hoping it reacted to market forces.
I thought the characters in Rogue One were mostly forgettable but didn’t see Jyn being overly femnist. I liked the fact that she fell down occasionally and didn’t talk down to men. She gave a cheesy speech but overall I kind of liked her. She also didn’t hook up with anyone. I find sex cheapens movies.
That review makes me not want to see Rhey ever. Though I think Plinkett has the review market dominated.
Misogynist - A man who hates women as much as women hate one another.
So, once again, feminists manage to poison and corrupt a good thing.
I just saw the movie (had it on my DVR).
It’s not as bad, or good as people are saying. They just club you over the head with “GENERAL LEIA”.
No. It’s not in all-caps, and those words are in the middle of the 2nd paragraph. No hitting over head. You were just looking for feminism too much.
The focal character (Rey) is a Mary-Sue, but it seems she has inborn abilities, like
usage of “The Force”. We’re made to think she’s the offspring of powerful people (maybe Leia & Han, or Luke. Some speculate she’s the reincarnation of Aniken(Darth Vader). She slays the bad guy
Yeah, that was the hardest to believe. This movie is labeled a fantasy.
Edit: I’d forgotten that 2 men had already injured that bad guy)she scolds Han Solo
That’s not the way I saw it.
blatantly liberal,
And the other episodes weren’t?
female dominance
No. That’s like people saying USA is male-dominated.
The message is that men are useless, destructive, failures, who need to get out of the way
THIS MOVIE?
Well, on the contrary, we’re reminded that Han was important in ep 1’s destroying the Death star.
2 men die, but as heros.
And I think a first: Women on the dark side.
The movie was mostly fair and balanced of men, women, races and species. It’s not much more Feminist than Alien(1979)
Tinder: Old women looking for security-betas. Men looking for ... the same old thing (and it's getting older all the time). No sex, no people, no problems

so Rey is now “The One” – so making an already male character into a woman (like is happening across everything at the mo) and you are saying it isn’t a feminist film?
and you are saying it isn’t a feminist film?
Well, it does have pro-fem messages (like most media). But not so much that it has to ruin the film.
I’m not a SW buff: Is there “the one”? Anyway, the movie left a lot of mystery. If she’s a reincarnate, that could be male or female. Most cultures believe in reincarnation, and that gender doesn’t have to stay the same.Tinder: Old women looking for security-betas.
