The good news: It looks like the drought in Texas is over!

The bad news: We don’t know if SoulMan is OK? Harpomason too?

I hope you guys made it to high ground, and are OK? It would be nice to hear from you guys?

Update from here in the South Houston area:

The rain is on and off right now.  It was heavy this morning as I was getting ready for the work day, but it’s calm right now.  VERY dark outside, but calm.  I hear some parts are flooded, and it was a challenge getting to work where I am, but not nearly as bad as it was yesterday!

Yea, I’m south and east of Houston (League City) and haven’t really seen any flooding issues.   Thankfully, the major flooding hit late at night, so not as many people were on the road (although the HOU-GS game was getting out right when it hit).  The storm itself isn’t really the problem.  We have had steady rainfall for weeks, so the ground was already saturated when this latest round hit.

Aside: CNN was on the tv at the gym last night covering the flood.  Not sure what they were saying but they kept showing a prom queen as one of the people that was killed in the storm.  They showed another woman as well.  No mention of any men…as if they were not equally a loss.  Then they showed an interview with an official…some dude in a cowboy hat…because we’re all cowboys in Texas.

    Ok. Then do it.

Holy cow, there’s a lot of people that live near Houston/people that used to live near here on this site!  Small world, indeed!  I’m in Nassau Bay, right next to the body of water (I assume it’s just called “Clear Lake”, though it feeds to the not-so-clear Galveston bay) that looks right at Kemah/League City!

Here’s a couple of pictures I took around the corner in Vermont after hurricane Irene dumped 9” of rain on this mountainous region.

I hope everyone in Houston, and all the areas affected by the flooding and tornadoes, is safe, dry, and high. I can say I am, and, yes, I recognized the pun.

Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?

Stay safe and best of luck to all of you in Texas.

Because in order to be able to think, you have to risk being offensive.

Where there’s water, there will be whales galore.

I’m one of those crazies that likes crazy weather, actually. 😛

Looks like it’s almost done, though.  (The marker indicates where I’m located, obviously)

Myself, TheGreatOz, Helenbedamned, and Lazaruslong are all in Oklahoma. We’re all ok no issues personally from the floods or Tornadoes here! I hope all you Texas brothers hang in there and stay dry. There’s more weather on the way!

Live in Hill Country and got 11 inches rain at the house from Friday to Monday (most Satruday night).  Survived just fine, but power outages suck.

If any guys out there need a hand, lemme know.  If any chicks or manginas do, go drown.

I was tuned into that last night, here’s a creepy picture from the stream. Somewhere just west of Forth Worth.
