For me, it’a Lady Evil done by the Ronnie James Dio version of Black Sabbath

    “Lady Evil”

There’s a place just south of Witches’ Valley
Where they say the wind won’t blow
And they only speak in whispers of her name
There’s a lady they say who feeds the darkness
It eats right from her hand
With a crying shout she’ll search you out
And freeze you where you stand

    Lady Evil, evil
    She’s a magical, mystical woman
Lady Evil, evil in my mind
    She’s queen of the night
    All right!

In a place just south of Witches’ Valley
Where they say the rain won’t fall
Thunder cracks the sky, it makes you bleed, yeah
There’s a lady they say who needs the darkness
    She can’t face the light
With an awful shout, she’ll find you out
And have you for the night

    Lady Evil, evil
    She’s a magical, mystical woman
Lady Evil, evil on my mind
    She’s queen of the night

So if you ever get to Witches’ Valley
Don’t dream or close your eyes
And never trust your shadow in the dark
‘Cause there’s a lady I know who takes your vision
    And turns it all around
The things you see are what to be, lost and never found

    Lady Evil, evil
    She’s a magical, mystical woman
Lady Evil, evil on my mind
    She’s queen of the night

    She’s the queen of sin
Look out, she’ll pull you in!
    Lady wonder!

Frank Zappa is my favorite but there are some Billy Joel songs that fit the bill

“I love you just the way you are…before I dump you for Christy Brinkely!”.

    Christy

These lyrics pretty much descibes relationships today.

    Brenda and Eddie were the
    Popular steadies
And the king and the queen
    Of the prom
Riding around with the car top
    Down and the radio on
    Nobody looked any finer
Or was more of a hit at the
    Parkway Diner
We never knew we could want more
    Than that out of life
    Surely Brenda and Eddie would
    Always know how to survive.

Brenda and Eddy were still going
Steady in the summer of ’75
When they decided the marriage would
Be at the end of July
    Everyone said they were crazy
“Brenda you know you’re much too lazy
Eddie could never afford to live that
    Kind of life.”
But there we were wavin’ Brenda and
    Eddie goodbye.

They got an apartment with deep
    Pile carpet
And a couple of paintings from Sears
A big waterbed that they bought
    With the bread
They had saved for a couple
    Of years
They started to fight when the
    Money got tight
And they just didn’t count on
    The tears.

They lived for a while in a
    Very nice style
But it’s always the same in the end
They got a divorce as a matter
    Of course
    And they parted the closest
    Of friends
Then the king and the queen went
    Back to the green
But you can never go back
    There again.

Brenda and Eddie had had it
Already by the summer of ’75
From the high to the low to
    The end of the show
For the rest of their lives
    They couldn’t go back to
    The greasers
The best they could do was
    Pick up the pieces
We always knew they would both
Find a way to get by
    That’s all I heard about
    Brenda and Eddie
Can’t tell you more than I
    Told you already
And here we are wavin’ Brenda
    And Eddie goodbye.

Thanks, all, for your songs – I listened to them all, great choices. I can’t stand to listen to modern country music any more because it’s almost all about pussy beggars and I can’t tolerate it even if the melody is good. Seriously. Not that I’ve ever been a big fan of it, except for singers like Johnny Cash, but these days it really reeks of the high odor of fish, if you get my meaning.

@fang: LSU was a freshman experience only – the parents moved to Tulsa and I followed by transferring to the University of Oklahoma in time to catch one of their national championships in football in the 70’s. And Talking Heads is another of my favorite bands – their live “Stop Making Sense” concert is one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. Skip the songs you don’t like and crank the ones you do – unforgettable energy and musicality …

@ListenUp! – yup, it were me what faked me own death! lol … scroll down for the original post … /forums/topic/mgtow-demographics/page/2/

@Megachris%: yeah, not a fan of them but you’re b~~~~-on accurate on the lyrics – great find!

You say that it’s not your fault
And swear that I am mistaken
You said it’s not what it seems
No remorse for the trust you’re breaking
You run but then back you fall
Suffocate in the mess you’re making
You can’t get enough you take
And take and take and take and take
    F~~~ it, are you listening

@chauvinistpig – never heard that one, thanks!

@H.R.Pufnstuf – great, now I’ve gotta rub one out!

And off the topic, this is the most addictive song I’ve ever heard, by that I mean that you can’t forget the damn thing for days on end no matter what (naturally I became enamored of this song during an incredibly painful breakup in my blue pill days) – the f~~~ing song was featured in part in the movie “Wall Street::

There was a doom/black metal band from Canada called Woods of Ypres that I liked. The lead singer and producer unfortunately died on an icy highway and off his post humous release is this song.

    Silver
Come when you need me, leave me when you need to be free
Come when you want me, leave me when you need me to understand
Did you fall out of love, because you fell in love again?
Did you fall out of love, because you fell in love, with someone new?

When the new love, shined with all the promise of all I couldn’t give to you.
And the new life offered all you wanted, and you had to choose

I helped to carry you, I took good care of you, I wanted us to continue
But I knew, that you would leave, when the time was right for you.

Life was a relay I passed it off to you.  You ran away, and won the race
You never looked back, to see what happened to me, For I was only second place

When the new love, shined with all the promise of all I couldn’t give to you.
And the new life offered all you wanted, and you were asked to choose.

We come together to share your sorrows – where you save yourself for someone else.
You keep your distance in times of hope, while I cry (for you) all by myself

When you’re silver, you never come first, When you’re silver, the truth always hurts.

I don’t want unconditional love, Ill always need to be judged
I don’t want a traditional love, Ill always need to be wanted/loved by someone else

When did the city make you so cold?
We share your sorrows but I dine alone…
When did the city make you so cold?
I cry alone – while you dine with someone else

When did the city make you so cold?
We cry together but I dine alone…
When did the city make you so cold?
We share your sorrows but I dine alone… I always dine alone…

This sounds like someone dealing with the hypergamy of a woman he is in love with.

Let me introduce myself I’m a social disease
I’ve come for your wealth leave you on your knees
No time for feeling sorry, I got here on my own
I won’t ask for mercy, I choose to walk alone
What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine too
If you shake my hand better count your fingers

What if I do get caught?
What if there is no judgment?
If I’m right I lose nothing, if you’re right I lose it all
I ought to get caught because I’m doing something wicked
I’m guilty haunted by my fear and the only consequences
Are dread and the fugitive mind

You built walls to protect you so no one will infect you
Pursued by those out there that vanish in thin air
Come a long way to find what you really left behind
You don’t know when the end is but it’s coming fast
What’s yours is mine and what’s mine is mine too
If you shake my hand better count your fingers

What if I do get caught?
What if there is no judgment?
If I’m right I lose nothing, if you’re right I lose it all
I ought to get caught because I’m doing something wicked
I’m guilty haunted by my fear and the only consequences
Are dread and the fugitive mind

    “Gold Dust Woman”

    Rock on, gold dust woman
Take your silver spoon and dig your grave
    Heartless challenge
Pick your path and I’ll pray
    Wake up in the morning
See your sunrise loves to go down
    Lousy lovers pick their prey
But they never cry out loud, cry out
Well, did she make you cry,
    Make you break down,
    Shatter your illusions of love?
    And is it over now?
    Do you know how?
Pick up the pieces and go home
    Rock on, ancient queen
Follow those who pale in your shadow
    Rulers make bad lovers
You better put your kingdom up for sale, up for sale
Well, did she make you cry,
    Make you break down,
    Shatter your illusions of love?
    And is it over now?
    Do you know how?
Pick up the pieces and go home
Well, did she make you cry,
    Make you break down,
    Shatter your illusions of love?
And now tell me is it over now?
    Do you know how?
Pick up the pieces and go home
    Go home
Go homeOoh, pale shadow of a woman,
    Black widow,
    Pale shadow of a dragon,
    Dust woman.

Ooh, pale shadow of a woman,
    Black widow,
Ooh, pale shadow, she’s a dragon,
    Gold dust woman

That describes the modern woman a lot more than most people are comfortable with

Life is too long to play by someone elses rules....

    Is it getting better
Or do you feel the same
Will it make it easier on you
Now you got someone to blame

    You say
    One love
    One life
    When it’s one need

    In the night
     It’s one love
     We get to share it
     It leaves you baby
If you don’t care for it

    Did I disappoint you?
Or leave a bad taste in your mouth?
You act like you never had love
And you want me to go without

    Well it’s too late
    Tonight
    To drag the past out
    Into the light
    We’re one
    But we’re not the same
We get to carry each other
    Carry each other
    One

Have you come here for forgiveness
Have you come to raise the dead
Have you come here to play Jesus
To the lepers in your head

    Did I ask too much
     More than a lot
     You gave me nothing
     Now it’s all I got
     We’re one
     But we’re not the same
     We hurt each other
     Then we do it again

    You say
     Love is a temple
     Love a higher law
     Love is a temple
     Love the higher law
     You ask me to enter
But then you made me crawl
And I can’t be holding on
     To what you got
When all you got is hurt

    One love
    One blood
One lifeYou got to do what you should

    One life
    With each other
    Sisters
    Brothers
    One life
    But we’re not the same
We get to carry each other
    Carry each other
