I remember xW, in full rage, screaming at me “for 25 years I DID EVERYTHING!”. Now, she had never paid a mortgage payment, had never paid for the kids pre or private school, thought cooking and f~~~ing were cities in China, etc. But she had it baked into her head that she had done “everything”.

This goes so far beyond ungrateful and unappreciative. For some reason they just can not accept what is being done for them, only BY them.

I didn’t barge into the bathroom and disturb her in the shower to tell her where I was going AS A COURTESY and out of respect for her privacy. A courtesy which would not be returned. I’ll be goddammed if I wait for her to primp herself for 90 minutes, blow dry and straighten her hair, and “decide what she’s going to wear” before I ASK FOR PERMISSION to leave and wash my own car during that time.

If she didn’t have a set of keys, she wouldn’t have done that. It would establish and remind her she is a “guest”. It was to be the last time I gave a woman a set of keys to my place.

45 minutes straightening her hair, but she wouldn’t straighten out the mess that’s inside. It’s not just a song lyric.

With bitchy women everythings always given, felt or done in return. They have to have some sense of equivalent exchange because they never give freely.

I never understood how a negative reaction exists in place of a positive influence.How can a women complain about being taken care of? If someone was living with me and complained about what I did for them.

This reminds me of a similar experience. When my xW told me she wanted to become a stay at home mom, I did the math. We could do it if we cut out day care, cut out the maid, and cut down expenses. She agreed and would keep the house clean.

A few weeks later, I had a particularly rough day. I was looking forward to coming home and relaxing, maybe have a nice dinner. I walked through the front door and the house looked like it got hit by a tornado, and there had been no thought of making dinner. I said nothing, but couldn’t possible hide the disappointment on my face.

What’s wrong?
Rough day at work…and I really wasn’t expecting the house to look this much worse then it did this morning.

I was in the doghouse for that…it was not a pleasant evening. I couldn’t wait to get back to work.
