The nature of this question is rooted in hypergamy.

See, females are fixated with having a resource.

They ask each other this , ie boyfriend, and its a status thing, like everything they compete with other women for male resources. They are not wanting to be without and look bad to the hive, they will be shamed and feel bad and the hamster will die awhile. So it is a great fear to them to be without a man.

Men do not care nearly as much especially as they wise up. They never will care as much because they do not look at women as resources to exploit, like women do men. But females must convince men to be as worried and fearful about not having a woman as they are about not having their man resource/husbank.
