So today my Dad got his death sentence.

Today he was told he has severe bowel cancer, a huge growth in his colon. Read my earlier post:

DO I care? TBH, no not really, he made bad life choices all his life and this is the end result. Even tonight, he wanted to forgo the surgeon’s dietary plan before his operation to have beer and take away fish and chips. Gents, take note!

As for my Mum, well she is an old Trooper. I only ever saw my Mum cry once, when I was 5, and today i saw her cry again and im 41. She was talking about death, the operation but the number 1 thing that stood out…can you guess? Yep, being alone and growing old alone.

I reassured her that she’d be ok, im her Rock now, her Mont Blanc and would take care of her. We talk alot about women on this site and their downfalls but this old girl is the real deal. Lol she actually use to ride the cage of death on a motorcycle in the 60’s…tough old war horse.

Anyway, just thought to post an update for awareness amongst us men… Heart disease, prostate cancer and in the western world diet bowel cancer. But also to reaffrim that older people men and women fear being alone especially being married for so long.

This is life … good or bad… it is those left behind that must plug the gap.

Be it through grieving process, numbness, relief, despair or good old fashioned greed … the hole must be filled.

Excessively abusive fathers, are enabled by their spouses.
To the wives, economic convenience is more important than reality hell their children are living in.
The triumph of greed over love.
It’s called, “absenting themselves”.
While they know full damn well what is happening to the kids, they want the money more than their kids physical, mental and emotional well being.
(sarcasm) With a little luck these kids grow up actually seeking abusers as it twistedly meant love to them years earlier( sarcasm/ 🙂 ).

Two adults, two to be held accountable.
Unfortunately many kids fill the gap by growing up blaming themselves until presented with the concept from left field, when they realize, “Holy s~~~, I would NEVER do that or allow that to be done to a child.”
