I’m at 275 trying to get down to 200. All my leg joints are shot, with my right hip joint endangering my job. I have water fasted before. I can go a week before I run out of energy and have to eat again. I usually lose 20 lbs. in a week and regain 10 to 15 when I stop. I find it’s easer not to eat at all then to try to cut back on my eating. My joint pain is sharply reduced when I am fasting. I drink zero cal sport drinks and take supplements while I fast.
Water fasting is dangerous and you can cause yourself to have a heart attack, or other organ damage (kidneys). You need to talk to a medical professional before you try this.
Water fasts are a great/efficient way to put your body into ketosis, have you considered resuming a ketogenic diet after you begin eating again?
In my experience, maintaining a diet of less than 20g of carbs per day will keep your body burning fat only and you will continue to see success in your weight loss journey.

Try to eat something though like celery.
Another system you can try short term is eating a very small amount of only protein every 3 hours. It works like this,
First feeding – 150grams of protein/5.1 ounces
Second feeding – 100 grams of protein/3.5 ouncesand so on every 3 hours that you are awake. Meat, cheese, tuna, fish, nuts, eggs, anything you like just make it protein.
You will feel great and lose the weight.
If you need to lose weight, do it right, don’t try anything stupid that will cause you more harm than good.
Don’t try miracle solutions or whatever, the formula is simple, you burn more calories than you consume, and that is it, it takes time, and you will have to wait until you have your desired goals fulfilled.
Exercise, eat WELL, DRINK YOUR WATER and sleep well.
Being dehydrated won’t solve the problem in the long run, you will just feel like s~~~ and you will still fat.About your joint pain, go to a doctor, he will analyze the problem for you.
Remember, c~~~s do these stupid things all the time, and they are all morbidly fat, lazy and stupid, they get in their 40s looking worst than guys in their 60s. Forget about magic solutions and do it in the traditional way.

Right now I can’t afford the ketogenic diet. Adkins didn’t work when I went back to a decade ago. I have to get down to 260 lbs. to get a hip replacement. If I can resume truck driving afterwards I will do keto. Medical professionals panic when I tell them I am fasting. Right now I weigh in daily for the VA, when I lose the first 5 lbs. in two days they will be calling!
Anonymous12Another point on your joint pain, try weight training if you can. Just lift heavy stuff you have around the house, tyres etc That will strengthen your muscles and bones as well as also burn fat.
You may need to eat something to keep that going though.
Look up Pilates on youtube as well, you use your own weight as resistance and it will also strengthen you.

That could be true. Without water to flush out the supplements from the blood stream through the kidneys and liver, the supplements could build up and turn toxic in the bloodstream.
For example, some pain relievers will turn toxic in the bloodstream if not flushed out by the kidneys and liver within a day of taking the medication.
Keto can be done on the cheap as long as you like eggs and cheese.
Losing weight is done completely in the kitchen with your food choices and portion sizes. It’s entirely a test of mental fortitude and self control.
You have to know you can do it and actually want to do it.

Im not evil, he won’t listen to me, another doctor told him is dangerous, probably 99,9% of people here will tell him that is insane.
Still he will do it, why bother?
Anyway if he get sick and f~~~ up some organ, maybe I can make a buck out of him.

Some people don’t take your advice seriously if you don’t charge a lot.
I used to work for a company, they never listened nor changed the things that I said that should be changed.
I get out of there, some years later, they hired me as a consultant, I said the very same things, charging 20x what they paid me back then, and they did what I told, as I told.
It is the same situation, you are saying something for free, some people may not recognize how much it worth until they paid a lot of money to someone say the very same thing.This is what I an taking:

– Fish oil is good, but only use it to supplement, keep your main omega 3 ingestion source as food, it is cheaper and better. Also check the source of the oil, some cheap brands use “fish” oil that is just random fish fat without omega 3, so you will be paying for overpriced fat in a softgels.
Better if you just drop all this s~~~, stop taking it all. Drink water, eat better, do some exercise. All this s~~~, the dehydration and everything else, you will be a ticking bomb in the surgery table ! The success of the surgery doesnt depend only on your weight, but on your health.
I have finished a 7 week fast…. it is entirely possible to fast so long as you keep up sodium and potassium. You will lose weight mostly fat but significantly lean tissue as well. My secret to success was being fat adapted I had no hunger issues. My current experiment is the opposite… eating 200g protein a day

That’s not how to lose weight. If you are really serious than change your diet and start working out. Loosing 75lbs the correct way will take months. Everyone wants a quick fix. It took years for you to get overweight, it will take months to come off.

I guess most of you have missed the fact that all of my leg joints are shot due to lack of cartilage, I also have arthritis in my hands and lower back. I can’t sit in a chair and do arm curls because of my hip pain. I currently drinking a gallon and a half of water per day. I have to get below 230 for hip replacements. I’m hoping that getting down to 200 will allow me to put off any joint replacements. The main goal is to be able to keep working.
