1- The Hero is an “empowered female”. ( Feminism )
2-The supporting character is a black man. ( representing the oppressed minorities )
3-The villain is a white man. ( representing the patriarchy )

15 years ago I stopped watching TV, starting next year, I will stop watching movies.
The feminist takeover of Hollywood is a big problem, and It is only going to get worse.

Agreed monk. I’m just going to watch the train wreck with my own eyes and report to you guys.

    Fuck this planet.

Lets be honest here guys. When is the last time you ever saw a movie or TV show where the men were not portrayed in some way as bumbling “trad-cons” and the woman just “knew better”….

…Now most films and shows are positively DRIPPING with estrogen. I pulled the plug on TV years ago and now I use Amazon Fire to stream what shows I want to watch when I want to watch them. (Im a amazon prime member because I use my kindle for so many books. Just made sense.

Last week I watched this documentary which I have to say was better than all the movies in the theater.

I concur, I’ve felt that way for some time and I find my own cynicism exhausts me sometimes. As a habitual escapist, I love to sit down and enjoy a good film, but nothing spoils the fun or ruins the immersion quite so much as an overtly fem-centric film. The image of moon faced ‘Eowyn’ in LOTR:ROTK face raping the Witch King with her puny little blade to the timeless femantra “..but I am no man!” nearly gave me an embolism. Oh and lets not forget the scene where she managed to cripple the charging oliphant by feeble tapping its kneecaps.

You know, on reflection, it’s really quite pitiful. I suppose the script writers and directors are selling a fantasy and for many women, that fantasy is that men, despite all the evidence to the contrary, are NOT born with certain anatomical, physiological and psychological adaptations designed to make them more effective protectors. Hell, I’ve yet to see a female perform a convincing overarm throw which doesn’t end up with the ball in a tree, over a neighbours fence or in a pond. hahaha

i really don;t want to see it just because it has the hunger games chick who cant act worth s~~~.

It’s actually a rather unknown chick, though funny enough Jennifer Lawrence (assuming that’s the chick from Hunger Games you’re referring to) DID throw her hat into the ring to be considered for the role of Rey.

That being said, I’m worried this WILL be a feminist’s dream come true.

Rey will likely NOT be killed off. Her actress is already confirmed to be cast in Episode VIII. What REALLY worries me is SHE is confirmed in it, but I don’t believe Finn (John Boyega) is. I wonder if HE will get killed off late in The Force Awakens and she will take his lightsaber and take on Kylo Ren herself (ala Qui-Gon in The Phantom Menace). REALLY hoping Kylo Ren doesn’t get offed in this. They’ve spent this long showing him off in the trailers and in the merchandise, but they did the same with Darth Maul as well. He seems awesome (as all the Dark Side users do). I’m really curious how Andy Serkis’ Supreme Leader Snoke will look, too.

I got my 7 PM showing the day before it comes out (Dec. 17) at an inexpensive theater where hardly anyone goes. The day the pre-sale tickets went up, my local theater had already sold out. The one I’m going to see it at still had tickets just a week ago (my best friend got a ticket to see it with me). I’m excited just because I like the whole (canonical) universe of Star Wars as a whole. I’m the same with Lord of the Rings…though we all saw what happened with The Hobbit movies and how they literally made up a female elf to have in the last two films and she was pushed to be a “favorite.”

    EDIT:
LOL, I just now saw that comment and thought about that scene, too…I suppose LITERALLY no man could kill him!? I thought it meant to human, or no bipedal intelligent life form! It was pretty apparent that Pippin damaged him by stabbing him in the back, but a FEMALE “man” (human) can kill him, too!? I figured the Oliphants were downed by the swords AFTER being shot by countless arrows, but the quote “tapping its kneecaps” made me laugh!

So, he has gone from playing the retched Gollum to Supreme Leader of a Galactic empire. That is a hell of a step up in casting.

I think Andy was robbed of his chance at an Oscar for his performance as Gollum. His acting is top notch.

I looked forward to see how he will be large ham and chew the scenery with his lines. It is one thing to see a actor play a large ham and chew the scenery. It is another to see a skilled actor portray a large ham and chew the scenery.,

I may have to go see the movie just for that reason.

I hope Finn lives. Him dying would be to cliche. From the “Black dude dies first.” And the more I see of the previews with him, the more I am starting to admire Finn for his sanity and common sense (for the most part).

I hope so, too! At first, I wasn’t too attached to his character (liking Kylo Ren a HECK of a lot more). I liked Lando and Han the most out of the “hero characters” in the OT. I’m hoping at least Finn can be a nice combination of Han with the Jedi coolness factor.

I am really curious about how Snoke will look, considering he’s supposed to be mostly/all CGI. I’m really liking the theory that he could be Darth Plagueis who happened to cheat death and used Palpatine as a puppet to set up the Galactic Empire (Palpatine is cool too, but imagine someone even more powerful than HIM, and USING him at that).

I also just came across this picture set, and I love and hate it at the same time.

She says “I THINK I can handle myself”, which is REALLY annoying…but it’s like Han is saying “I don’t care what you THINK, I’m giving it to you BECAUSE you merely ‘think’ you can handle yourself.”

That I would like very much. If it turned out that Palpatine was but a pawn of his master all this time.

Palpatine stated that Plagueis had had studied life and death.

It is strongly hinted that Plagueis was one serious badass. Keep in mind, that by the accounts we know, Palpatine poisoned Plagueis in his sleep to kill him, and because he did not want to fight him. And in episode 3, when Palpatine was confronted by Mace and three other Jedi Master, Palpatine took out three Jedi Masters in ten seconds and fought Mace to a standstill.

What type of badass would Plagueis be if Palpatine wasn’t sure he could him in a fight.

The picture you posted is absolutely hilarious. I am glad I am not the only one that noticed that.

Hmmmm, if my lip reading isn’t too rusty, the first pic seem to be the point where he’s saying “…might need this”, the second seem to be the bit where she’s saying “…handle m…” but I can’t for the life of me work out what Harford is saying in pic three… it looks like “we’re b*ttfu*ked…” – there ya go… you saw it hear first folks!!

I’m still not convinced that making the male lead a black Jedi wasn’t anything but a PC move by Disney. Same with the other female lead.

Why don’t they just make the entire cast multi-racial with a handful of white people in secondary roles and be done with it.

JJ Abrams just looks like a little mangina weasel.

F~~~ Star Wars and f~~~ Disney.

The Children of Doom... Doom's Children. They told my lord the way to the Mountain of Power. They told him to throw down his sword and return to the Earth... Ha! Time enough for the Earth in the grave.

I’ve always found it funny how the bad guys are the most logical and make the most sense. Ironically MGTOW philosophy is always demonized. Like it’s stated here.

Well, the bad guys tend to go after those groups they view (rightly or wrongly) wronged them, or are standing in the way of their plans.

Meanwhile, MGTOW response to those that have wrong us and are in our way is indifferent. They are not worth the effort to go after, and instead we go our own way, away from them.

..The one exception to this in a big way is Babylon 5. I watch “all” of the five B5 movies along with Crusade, Legend ofThe Rangers, and Lost Tales – Voices interspersed and in a definite viewing order along with the five seasons of the television episodes. For some reason, as far as B5 is concerned, most of the movies seem to complement the series .. in the way that I believe JMS meant for it to be.

I LOVE B5!!!! Most of the movies were okay but I couldn’t get into ‘The Legend of the Rangers’. Which reminds me, on that note, I invite everyone to watch the most laughable girlie pwrrrr raaageee scene ever!! hahaha

    [whoops wrong scene]

right.. er… derp! *waves hands* “you are not seeing this, this post did not happen… sleep… sleep”

Babylon 5 confirmed for f~~~ing awesome.
