I’ve been on the search for a few months now anyway.  I absolutely hate how long it takes for state jobs to give their decisions.  The interview I had on April 1 still hasn’t filled their position (I called to check last Monday).  My application online still says it’s “in progress,” so that’s definitely not a bad sign, I suppose.  I’ve applied for many other things besides that, but that’s the one I’m hoping for.  It’s essentially the same position as the one I have now, but with a few more responsibilities, WAY more pay, and I work around mostly males.

@Megachris%, that’s truly the best of both worlds! The worst of both worlds; more women and less pay (MORTAL HELL). Good luck, I hope you get the MGTOW happy job! You’re blessed with the knowledge to know the difference, red pill logic in action!

It’s pretty rare to find an office job, ESPECIALLY at a university/college, where there are more males than females (and the females at this prospective job at least appeared tolerable in the environment from what I gathered).  That’s why I’m certainly hoping for it!

You’re sounding delusional; no matter what bucket s~~~ comes in, it’s still s~~~, just because it’s in a fancy wooden bucket and it’s not filled to the brim, makes it none the less s~~~! Avoid trusting the new s~~~ in the new bucket! You could easily get s~~~ all over you!

Oh no, no!  I still know they’re still to be seen like every other woman, most definitely.  What I mean is at least they’ll be tolerable for that kind of pay, as they will NOT be my management or superior in any way (like how it is here at my current position).  If there’s anything that bothers me most, it’s condescending, “holier-than-thou”, “I know more than you and I will test you every step of the way” women in charge.  Then again, that’s every woman…but you get what I mean. 😛

I think I shot myself in the foot with my optimism.  I just received an e-mail that I was not selected for the position.  Well, that puts a damper on my mood today.  😐

    Megachris:

Nowadays, one should be grateful if one receives any response.  If one hasn’t heard back within less than a week, write it off and try again somewhere else.

Took ’em long enough, eh?  Nearly 2 months after the interview, and 2 1/2 months after the application was filled out (March 9).  State jobs: The benefits are great, but it’s so hard to stay patient with them.

Just shake it off man, females are going to female. I had something similar going on in my last job and the amount of paranoia that I had because my boss was checking on me all the time was unparamount. They will definitely try to guilt trip you the more professional you look,  so you can either get at their level and become a drama queen, or keep not giving a f~~~. I suggest the first option for the lulz.

LOL, I’d be a drama queen for the lulz, but I just found out that my management is now expecting a second child on the way.  Time to see the mood swings galore…
