I have no interest in this movie partially because of how terrible the last one was and partially because of how Disney and the media was s~~~ting on everyone for being sexist/racist/whatever-ist if you didn’t like the last one. F~~~ them, I won’t support this series anymore.

I have no doubt this movie will make more than Solo, and more than your average box office movie, but considering Star Wars and Marvel are two of the biggest entertainment franchises around right now, I think the difference between what this and End Game pull in will give us a pretty good idea of how many people are actually boycotting SJW bulls~~~. I saw the original three (episodes 4—6), all of One, bits of Two and Three, and none since. I have totally lost interest in the franchise, and don’t see anything that will make me go back.

The reason I say it’s going to out perform Avatar is because it’s the Finale’ bro. Like it or hate it. People have been waiting for closure on this crap since the 70s. The Prestige of it all… the Ninth! To be honest, that Teaser is complete crap but taken in context for what it symbolizes, the fans are frothing at the mouth in anticipation.

The All-Time Best selling movie was Avatar. The “Final Star Wars Film” will certainly beat $3,000,000,000.

I do not say this in admiration. I actually dislike Star Wars. I’m an R. Scott Alien fan first, and a Trekkie second.

IMHO, Force Awakens really was garbage, however; The Last Jedi took a lot of misplaced criticism. Overall, The Last Jedi was not that bad of a movie. People get too passionate about biases and lose objective criticism. The SOLO movie wasnt that bad either.

I could name several worse films, and several worse SJW films.

Everyone seems to forget that these dollar figures are for 2019 dollars, not 1977 dollars. Adjust for inflation to compare what they really brought in. Then also adjust for the fact seat prices are a lot higher now than in 1977.

That a $735 million dollar drop between movies. The Farce Awakens coasted on the audience goodwill left over from the Lucas days (probably pre-digital, Han-Shot-First Lucas days). That only proves what an amazingly successful franchise Star Wars was. Disney has thoroughly burned that goodwill. People are booing the Episode 9 (or should that be Plan 9) trailer in theaters. I hear that Hasbro isn’t even ordering molds for Episode 9 toys, but are instead remaking the original Kenner molds for the first trilogy for one last hope to cash in on the nostalgia factor for the original star wars before the abandon the license.

The film will probably break even, though possibly not by much given how much money Disney is going to have to pump out to shill for it. Like with Captain Mary Sue, don’t expect Disney to declare the full marketing budget for this film, either. It can very likely “make money” on paper while the company as a whole loses money on it.

I didn’t think TFA was all that terrible. It had some nostalgic moments for the long time fans, some new characters to further the franchise, and I at least walked out of the theater thinking positively enough about it that I knew I’d go see the next one, where as TLJ was just a horrible movie that left me with zero excitement for the third part of the trilogy. All the SJW and Mary Sue bulls~~~ aside, it had completely ruined all the interesting story lines and left me not caring at all about what happens next. If Rey was OP as f~~~ but at least there were other interesting things going on around that, I’d have probably maintained some interest…but its just total garbage.

I wouldn’t be shocked if this movie “breaks” a billion the same way Captain Marvel apparently did, but I don’t think its going to beat what TLJ grossed. I don’t imagine many people that didn’t go see TLJ are going to care enough to go see this movie, and a lot who did see TLJ have no interest in this movie.

Disney f~~~ed up hard. They should have recognized when Soylo did horrible it was because of TLJ…not blame it on SW fatigue and s~~~ on their customers who didn’t like it. Plenty of people watch tv series that routinely pump out 10-20 hours worth of content a year, and sometimes even spin off specials, movies, and series on top of that. The idea that a 2 hour Star Wars movie a year was too much for people is a joke…if they were good, people would pay to watch them.

The new characters where all minorities or females. Even the gay pilot hero is chastised for “fighting”!

Don’t trust Disney’s figures on that. I was at the theater to see something else, but asked about seats to see Captain Mary Sue. The box office kid showed me a seating chart with three quarters of the seats already sold, but when I looked into the theater about twenty minutes in, it was playing to a completely empty house. This was on a friday night. According to the cleaning staff, that was common, but the theater didn’t give a fu​ck because they make their money off the pre-show advertisements, and if someone is paying to reserve empty seats to inflate the audience figures they tell their advertisers, they aren’t going to complain.

Soylo didn’t teach Disney to fix their sh​it, but it did teach them to fake their figures. They knew Captain Mary Sue was in trouble, and are desperate to manipulate public perception to keep it from taking down Endgame the way Soylo failed it.
