Free falling is his song which resonates with me.

None of us are getting any younger.

He was only 66, it just doesn’t seem that old anymore.

Awe s~~~! The only musician I ever really cared about. His music is all that kept me sane during my divorce. The man literally saved my life. Wherever you are Tom the entire “South” grieves for You!

The one thing I insisted when I married my Yankee wife from Michigan that Southern Accents would be the song we danced to at the wedding.

It’s shaping up to be a tough week with that s~~~ in Las Vegas and now this.

I once did a physical examination on Tom Petty for a mega expensive insurance policy. They sent a doctor to your house to examine you. I went to his office.

He was a totally nice down to earth guy. I told him I play a little sax and he said that was cool. Then he told me the story of him getting that call from the record company.

He said that he was working the loading dock at Sears when a phone call came through telling him they wanted him to sign a record contract.

I watched them film “Free Falling” as it was on my commute. They used a half tube skate board run and when they came to the top the went up over the top and came back down on the down slope of the curved track.

They filmed it on the top of the mountain range in LA so it looked like the skateboards were flying over the San Fernando Valley. Right across from the mall they filmed this in, which I’ve been to many times. It’s called “The Galleria”.

So, the latest news is that Tom Petty isn’t dead, he’s on life support. Good for Tom Petty I hope he pulls through.

So, I guess it’s better to get a story out first than it is to be right. F~~~ing news, who the hell knows who to believe anymore. I swear, even if something is on video it still could have been photo-shopped.

I agree but he and the Heartbreakers were always coming out with songs that got the airtime. The great ones continue to passway this year.

He’s not dead yet, but they’ve pulled his life support with a “do not resuscitate” order in place.

The 1980s’ were so long ago they may as well be the 1880s’!

The 1970’s may as well be the 1600s’!

Did you have him autograph the EKG strip?

So weird. Learned about it 21 minutes after it hit the wire when a guy in the elevator said he died. Was on my way out to lunch and they were playing his album too.

Last week Wednesday, I saw a guy wearing a cool Tom Petty T-Shirt and asked him where he got it. He saw him LAST MONDAY at the Hollywood Bowl and raved about it. Said it was “THE BEST” concert he had even seen….. and mentioned Tom Petty said it would be his last one, but he didn’t believe it because he said TP was on fire that night.

The run was supposed to end Sunday, but he added one show.
That guy saw . . . . “the last show”.

    Just cosmic.

If you keep doing what you've always done... you're gonna keep getting what you always got.

When you live in Hollyweird for 30 years like I have you definitely don’t ask celebs for autographs. You try not to look at them and give them a little privacy.
