“reduction to absurdity”.
Went out last night to my local watering hole for some whisky. The following occurred, which I thought was the epitome of an example of the distinction between men & women.
I’m sipping whisky on the patio. There’s an elderly lady out on the sidewalk in front of the bar in one of those rolling-chair contraptions (NOT a wheelchair). She seemed distressed. I thought she was a homeless person – this is in a major downtown area, and such an incident is common. This girl in her 20’s from the bar comes out. She proceeds to ask said lady ALL kinds of questions:
“What’s wrong?”…”Where’s your home?”…”Are you OK?”…
She essentially made matters worse, as the lady began crying. The lady said she couldn’t get in her home, and began to stroll herself away. At this point, I said “We HAVE to *do* something! I feel terrible; like some irresponsible citizen if I don’t do something”. The 20 something-ish girl is just sitting there with an idle face looking at her friend. Now, as a single dude my FIRST concern when calling the authorities is ensuring I’m not going to get in any type of problem. So I was worried about myself, but my concern for this lady and the fact that I KNEW something was wrong made be feel accountable to take action.
I dial 911. The very moment I tell them of the situation they begin asking details about myself – “what’s your name? how do you spell that?” etc, etc.
The girl and her friends were LAUGHING that over both my initial concern that the authorities were asking me questions about myself, then laughing even more so that my concerns proved to be correct and they did in fact ask me questions.
I just found the entire situation to be the EPITOME of an example of the distinction between men and women. A female comes a long, goes out of her f~~~ing way to FIND a problem. Asks all kinds of questions about the problem. Diagnoses the problem. Then takes ZERO action and feels ZERO sense of accountability to SOLVE the problem. Then when a man DOES take action, they mock at the sense of responsibility and accountability he feels for being involved with it.
ZERO. Accountability. ZERO.
The funniest part was when the girl asked the lady questions about her physical health and the elderly lady said – “are you a doctor?”…The girl replies – “No. I’m a professional hair stylist”.
C~~~s.
Resident cynic.
Yes, and the same mockers will eventually ask where all the good men have gone.
I wonder if the distillation of their poisonous attitudes has been accelerated by so many growing up hearing “mom’s viewpoint” exclusively. ‘Whore On’ girls."It seems like there's times a body gets struck down so low, there ain't a power on earth that can ever bring him up again. Seems like something inside dies so he don't even want to get up again. But he does."
Something very similar happened to me that last time I will ever call “the authorities” for someone else’s comfort or benefit. A man was broken down by the roadside. I called the cops for him. I got the third degree. Oh well, at least he got a tow.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
Anonymous3So you just had to white knight, and tell us about it. And now you’re busy playing the victim that you were asked questions. Even the women are smart enough to know that would happen.
My advice, not that you’ll take it, you’ll instead get defensive and fight about it, is to just go your own way and not pay attention to what’s going on around society. That’s the whole reason most of us went MGTOW, every time we tried to help others we were attacked for it. So we said we’re done, and told society it’s on its own.
they begin asking details about myself – “what’s your name? how do you spell that?” etc, etc.
“My personal info is not required for you to help this woman.” <CLICK>. They may send the EMTs, they may not, but it’s not your responsibility.
Remember you’re ***never*** under any obligation to speak to law enforcement.

Who cares what those c~~~s thought? You shouldn’t care what ANY woman thinks, especially about you.
I will say, thank the gods there are people like you who care for other human beings and take concern when something isn’t right.
It’s something I imagine most of us would do here, but then, we’re responsible men.
So you just had to white knight, and tell us about it. And now you’re busy playing the victim that you were asked questions. Even the women are smart enough to know that would happen.

Really… you consider helping an old distressed (distraught?) person white knighting? Next: he’s not playing victim, he’s simply telling us about how the rest of the people around did ZERO s~~~.
Personally I’m surprised the super awesome hairstylist didn’t jump into more action merely because it’s a WOMAN who’s in distress. C~~~s don’t care about anything else than themselves (and/or their childen, but even then she considers them to be mere pawns in a game).

Agreed theres a difference between WK and helping someone (male or female) that genuinely
needs it.MGTOW doesn’t mean not giving a s~~~ about
people in distress because if it did then we’d be
just as bad as the rest of our messed up ‘ME FIRST’
society.Lifes a bitch,but you don't have to marry one!
I would have (and have) continued sipping my whiskey, no f~~~s given.
I would have looked at the guy over at the table calling 911 and being all involved about something and thought, hmm, he’s a chalk outline looking for a place to happen.
A woman in distress crying and babbling on and on about her problems means that you HAVE to do something?
If she fell out of her chair thing and began wailing and pleading for help, I would do her the courtesy of stepping over her as I went about my day.
There is a small chance that I would have gone over, on my way out, and gave your white horse a smack on the arse.

I am very leary of police and believe they would rather blame the first person within arms reach rather solve the problem. I have my own redpill rage with them when they killed a friend of mine for no reason. He answered the door and they shot him the head while he was holding his grandson in his arms.
I do not think you were White Knighting but I do think you may have reacted too swiftly. I would assess the situation and look for any solution that doesn’t involve the police.
Yes I am bias and you should take that in to consideration. If you rescue a damsel in distress, all you will get is a distressed damsel.
By the way, I have been at the scene of a deadly accident. When an off duty nurse lady first responder came running up and asked, “is there any children involved?” When she saw that it was only seriously injured adults she turned and walked away.
I learned a life lessons that day. If you get involved you are legally involved. How much crazy do you want?
Peace brothers
You did the right thing. Why should this poor woman suffer because the police were asking you questions. That’s not her fault. I’m guessing the police ask questions because they get a lot of prank calls.
I wonder how those who ridicule your actions would feel if they were the one who needed help? I’m disgusted at some of the reactions here that would ridicule your good deed.
We evolved as a social species and survived by taking care of each other beyond our selfish needs. It’s good to see that some, like you, retain that basic noble instinct. Well done.
Anonymous11Diagnoses the problem
I really love it whenever women attempt to diagnose problems. It’s like me knitting.
Good to hear from you, AW. This was not White Knighting.
Speaking of police, there was a suspicious character lurking around my neighbor’s vehicles at dawn in front of my house. They had to park in street due to TS Hermine putting an Oak tree through their house. I caught a bad vibe from him and made sure Dr. Mossberg had some 00 buck in the pipe. Five minutes later, five police units responded and were cuffing and stuffing him four houses up the street.
Women are incapable of solving problems. That’s why they scream like f~~~ing banshees during an emergency situation; it’s to alert any males around to come and save the day.

Give that men a beer and put it on my tab.
I salute you. Never ever feel wrong about doing that.
I thank you, couse that old lady could have been my grandmother. To OP,
as others said before this ain´t White Knighting, but other than dialing 911, I would have talked to the lady a little more to figure what her real issue is, like has she locked herself out, or was she just lost. Maybe calling a locksmith service for the old lady would have helped?!
I´d be happy for someone to help me, when being old and helpless. Was the old lady helped in the end?

Men on here go on and on about how they’ve walked away from society, are sick of the pussy pass and all the privileges women have, but then the second they see a woman “in distress” they are desperate to go and help her, and are busy attacking each other for not “doing enough” or being “selfish”.
This is why men will always fail and nothing will ever change. If it ever truly got to the point that MGTOW had an impact on society, rather than valuing males, the elites would turn around and crank up the shaming on men, and trot out a bunch of women that are “distressed” and demand that men “step up and do something” or they are “selfish”. Society knows it can take males for granted, men will always, always use their resources and efforts for others.
Well not me. I’m gone and am not coming back. MGTOW is self survival, not a group survival, not a popularity contest, not a form of validation or acceptance from other men. It’s men that have had enough and have left, and just swap notes or enjoy each other’s company when they have the time. That is why this isn’t a “movement” and it’s impossible to actually stop, those of us that are gone are gone for good and will stay gone, with or without a label or a forum.
Yep, I must put my statement into context. I am not just talking about women. I am talking about society.
I grew up in a small town. We never locked our doors, etc. I moved to Phoenix AZ. My coworkers would literally laugh their asses off at me. I was just like OP. One guy said your a chalk outline looking for a place to happen.
Trust me, when I am driving down a road and I see a car broke down, there is no force that could make me stop. I don’t care if it’s a man, woman, children, old person, alien, zombie. I ain’t stopping. Why? Gentleman, crime scene two is always worse than crime scene one. Nothing and I mean nothing good can happen if you stop on a road. It is never good to meet your first responder. Even worse if you aren’t able to meet them.
Once our company let work out early due to a blizzard. Evidently, a coworker had a flat on entrance ramp. Hundreds of people went around him as he tried to block traffic for help. Out of everyone I guess he recognized me since I had a 4×4 truck with all the gear one would need if broken down.
The following week when we were back at work, yep, this guy attacked me in my cubicle. Screaming about how I wouldn’t help him.
Fun times in HR.
To this day I still get a text out of the blue from one of my former coworkers (not him) teasing me about needing help.Peace brothers

And had it been an old man in the wheelchair?
