I was casually browsing the market for my next fishing boat. I found a dozen immaculate 14-17′ boats for between 6-10k. Some of these boats were over 20 years old and still in excellent shape, despite being well used. Much like car shopping, how the clean it appears is a solid indicator of how well it was taken of. It was obvious that these men are sadly selling their most prized possession.

If a reason was listed for selling, it was usually always, “Wife wants me to sell my boat.”
One seller wrote, “Wife wants a boat with a windshield.”
Another common reason was upgrading because she wants something bigger, more expensive.

I could feel the emotions in some of these reasons for selling and it made me sick but also relieved that I never once fell into the trap. In a way, these weak men deserve this treatment. The option of going MGTOW was likely never even thought to exist. Perhaps if it had been, it may have saved their life. Oh well, they can learn the hard way like most people do or get ridden to an early grave.

If your life was saved because of somebody you knew was MGTOW, than feel yourself blessed. I doubt most people had that influence.

Their loss, either they will wake up or stay asleep. Material things can always be bought again if they really want it back.

    Wife wants this and that…
That’s what is not going to happen to us.

A boat is a hole in the water you throw money into.

But it’s still a better investment than a wife.

(I’ll leave to others all the puns about a wife also being a hole.)

This is very common knowledge to MGTOW. Women kill dreams and destroy hobbies. It’s hard to feel sorry for men who opted for the ball and chain when they voluntarily did it to themselves.

We can’t wake these poor saps up, but we can at least buy up all the cool s~~~ their wives won’t let them keep. More importantly, we can learn from their mistakes, and never let the same thing happen to us.

Not if its your thing. It can be as important to outdoorsman as astronomy, photography, video games, cars, sports, etc is to all the other men here.

You save in the end that is a positive thing.

    Not if its your thing.

    That’s beside the point.

Even if a boat isn’t your thing, even if you hate boats, it’s still a better investment than a wife.

My first wife said “it’s me or the Harley” You can guess which one of the two I was still riding a year later….

This is yet another illustration of the way it is accepted in our culture that a man will put himself second to his wife’s wishes. In the old days she put herself second to his career and his desires and all things were equal and fair. Now its skewed and wrong.

A woman is like fire -fun to play with, can warm you through and cook your food, needs constant feeding, can burn you and consume all you own

Not quite. In the old days she understood that his career was her bread and butter, so of course she supported his career.

These days she knows she can get her bread and butter out of him at gunpoint, courtesy of the family courts, his career be damned.

She will support your hobbies and other gigs only in the beginning and when she has you locked down you’re only allowed to do them if they make her money not cost money.

And then guys like us swoop and pick up bargains in hardly used motorcycles, sports cars and guitars with our money going to pay for kitchens, kids braces and Minivans.

    I love ultimatums like that!
And I always make the wrong choice, according to them.
My other fav is the threat…”or there will be no nooky for you tonight”. They look so surprised when I say “I’ll raise ya, make it a week”

Another favorite line of theirs when you buy literally anything is

    ‘Why do you want that?’
