Purpose in life as MGTOW?

There may have been a misunderstanding. That the concept of causality exists out in the zeitgeist on the relative level, is for sure. But, how can we be sure that causality actually is?

Do you even know that I exist as a person, and that I am not instead a sophisticated (if I do say so myself) computer program?

You raise an important point, actually. If all is a dream, how is it that we are able to assess it’s validity or reality?

There is something that is not of the dream, but anything we can perceive or conceive of is in the dream, therefore we cannot know what it is. But we ARE that thing. WE are the mystery of life itself.

I know that computers lack introspection.  This conversation is about introspection.  You are not a computer.  Computer programs have limits.  People have limits.  Identifying limits enables one to determine the nature of a being.

Dreams are real in themselves.  Dreams exist.  To dream requires one to exist.  All existence is fundamentally real.

 

I have had plenty of dreams where I caught myself dreaming and woke up.  I knew they were dreams because I knew that certain laws cannot be bent.  Order is Order.

 

We can know some things.

Going back to the initial point about our existence being causeless… I understand this to mean that there is no underlying purpose… no blueprint or intention or plan to our existence, the universe simply is.

If you accept this as truth, then aside from survival and reproduction which are hallmarks of all life, what external purpose could there possibly be to our lives? The point, it would seem, is that if we desire meaning and purpose, we must create it for ourselves.

Being a new MGTOW member has opened up a whole new world of inspiration for me, first of all. Lately I’ve been gravitating toward learning more about what I really need in my life. I myself have always been a very unconventional person, a person who’s always marched to the beat of his own drum in basically everything I ever did or did not experience. What MGTOW represents fell so accurately in line with my innate personality that it wasn’t too long before I read some of the articles and watched some of the videos that I wanted to become a member.

As for Purpose? I’ve been trying to define that for myself too. I no longer consider a certain career to define my social standing in my life as some men may do. I believe I’ve cut off that line of conventional thought…along with the “sanctity of marriage” or having the house with a white picket fence or a wife and several kids. The whole notion of that is not appealing to me at all. Purpose for me is not necessarily an external goal for me, at least not wholly but also a spiritual, philosophical one. Sure there are things I want to do, like traveling, do more hobbies like boxing or fencing. I realize they cost money to do and I’m willing to work and save up to be able to one day do these things. At the same time I want to attain a piece of mind, and not get lost in the stresses we’re normally subjected to as working men. I feel like it’s possible.

I don’t feel like I would need a big, important career that pays six figures only to have the big wigs tell me that they’re downsizing and that they need to let me go. Where’s the big important career now? Is your life over because of this? Is it time to commit suicide over it? People do this because of these reasons and I’m more interested in why this is so! I hope I’m reaching some of you. I’ve been asked on a couple of occasions what my passion was. For me, that’s a loaded question, so whenever I was asked this, I wasn’t able to answer so quickly. because I no longer look at it as an external, tangible goal anymore. I’d have to elaborate like I’m doing now in order to answer it. I’d have to elaborate if I started my answer with “My passion is life, or at least getting the most out of it.” You see? Doesn’t really say much. Is it wrong to say that I’d want my passion to be life, or at least trying to “master life”? I don’t think it is, but I also don’t think people who expect you to answer with a physical goal everyone’s heard of is ready for an answer like that. Not unless he/she was a friend of yours…or members of MGTOW :).

 

So with all of this being said. I would have to say that MGTOW is the exclamation point to all that I’ve said above because, to me, it lifts all the pressures, conventions, notions, expectations of women and the uninformed (society, “the powers that be”) and allows me to delve deeper into a realm that people have tried to sweep under the rug but also a realm that is kept alive by the many that keep these hidden truths close to them. What are your thoughts on this, guys?

My purpose?

Many years ago, when the world and I were both young, I read an article on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs (Not this one, but I can’t hope to find the one that got me started.) I decided, and resolved, to make myself into a self-actualizing human being. I have molded my behavior and made my life-altering decisions on this ever since.

As a result, I have been immune to TV advertising, political movements, social trends, and anything else that diminishes my health, wealth, and happiness. (Strictly speaking, I should have written ‘mostly’ immune; I do stumble once in a while, but I usually catch myself before an all out fall.)

My ultimate goal is Self-Transcendence. I’m headed to there — only there is no there, there.

for start, happy new year.

The risk of failure and total misery vs the reward of having a happy family is way to high… but if you think about it, as bioligical mortal beings, sounds like main purpose is to reproduce before passing away, if you go your own way you won’t do that.  Plus having a world with 7+ billion people, I don’t think se should worry too much about the species survival, if anything the world is overpopulated.

That was always my opinion since my adolescence, paritulary the remark to the world’s Population. For me reproduction was always a question of responsibility in the face of the world and in the face of the results of my reproduction, hence the children or the child. I never could take the responsibility to reproduce, not that I don’t want to, I cannot because of this sick Society. For me it were a Horror e.g. having a boychild and seeing him growing up in a way Society wants him to grow up and not in a way he likes it, not even to mention a devorce and the condition just to see my own child when “Madame” is in the mood. So I am not married and I have no children.

Finding myself, knowing myself, observing universal laws, I mean the laws of the universe,  and try to synchronize all my works to them as good as possible is my MGHOW purpose nowadays ever than before. You feel it in yourself, just listen to it and let the river flow, and all your plans come together.

People keep saying there are too many people in the world. It’s not the amount of people that is discomforting, it’s the way they are being brought up. The world, if used optimally, by a responsible species, could sustain 7-10 billion easily. The problem is that more than half of them aren’t civilized or teaching civil behavior to their children. Our species is still very much a part of the animal kingdom.

I think we value ourselves by they way others see and value us as social beings minus 50%, the need to be accepted and to belong is a primary form of survival. For that we need to offer society something it values. it can be women who give us children, or men who protect the women or who brings food for their survival, or men who protect the society. Nature enslaved us with this primitive need to be valued.

Now that feminist destroy men’s roles which men where proud off, now men feel no real value in themselves. We see ourselves as a threat to society and the only way we are accepted is if we are accepted by women. For that we will give money, sacrifice our lives to protect them, become financial slaves and feel unaccepted by society until women say its enough, now you are a good man.  Women exploiting mens instincts for personal gain. As men are withdrawing their position to be exploited, they develop the emptiness, valueless life, meaningless life or outcast of society and become isolated.

But we need to consciously realize that we are society, we are our own society and free to shape our society as we want, we need to own our society with or without women. We need to give something back to our society, something that give us value and it does not need to be marriage, disposable soldiers or fatherhood. It can be technology, medical services, friendship, helping our fellow men to make wise choices. All we need to do is to realize how important role we play in each others lives without conforming to traditional norm or being subjected to modern threats or new age slavery. If you are a good friend to someone, you are valued by someone. if you saved a persons life as a doctor, you are valued by someone. Your life has meaning to society.

Yet we get our minds in a gutter about women and what they think and marriage, the manipulative mind games they play will continue to shake mens cages for them. But we need to realize that men are not valued in the family system anymore, there we became disposable objects of finance and labor for the interest of women.  Men are valued by each other. The men who created this website is valued by its members who is thankful for his effort to put it here. Men need to show appreciation to each other for the value they added. We need to value to the men who made a difference in our lives. out fathers, friends and online MGTOW members who all support each other. There is so much men can be valued for than what we are traditionally lead to believe.  Then you have all the purpose and value you will ever need. Its our society and we need to own it, and value each other even if its only for your friendship and support. Let feminist go determine their own society and social rules for their slaves.

As others have said, you have to create the purpose of your existence. Some people get it from religion, some people from philosophy, etc. I don’t think MGTOW is going to provide a purpose for your life, it’s more of a jumping off point. MGTOW is a loud and clear statement of “F~~~ this system, I won’t be coerced or shamed into living a life I don’t want.” After that it’s up to you.

I feel your pain and understand what you are going through. I am new here and new to MGTOW. It will be difficult to explain my personal views on life, due to the conflicting nature of western culture, being raised in western culture, and well, I do not wish to offend or someone try to offend me based on these views.

Purpose for me to MGTOW is doing what has to be done. To me MGTOW means humility. MGTOW means men are stepping up and being the example for other men and of course women. Bluntly, if women will not humble themselves, men will show them. Humility is not a weakness and humility cannot be forced. Humility is a choice and without self-reflection and self-awareness, this choice will not happen. Sound like anyone we know?

For me there is no purpose as MGTOW, it is simply to get by in life without being taken to the cleaners a second time.  I will always share my thoughts and beliefs with younger men or older less-experienced men.
