Seems my pre-workout energy supplement is not working anymore. I am using C4. Worked fine in the beginning, but no more. Any suggestions? Caffeine doesn’t work, as I am already drinking 3 cups a day of Death Wish Java.

Don’t eat before. Morning is best – on an empty stomach. It also “trains” your body to used stored fat as energy – if you’re consistent over a few months.

If you have food in you, your body will use that ( and surplus energy to digest it ) first.

One extreme fitness guy I saw recently swears by not eating ANYTHING until 4PM. Then after his workout(s) he gorges. That’s probably just his thing. I have found small meals 3 hours apart to be ideal. Never really “hungry” – but also never “full” – and it also avoids mood swings.

I am not consistent and don’t care that much – so I cheat often.

Tried working out prior to morning’s breakfast. Just do not have the energy to run 3 miles w.o. fuel.

Fletch is good, but doesn’t help with energy. Could be my age. The big 40. lol.

REALLY. That would wipe me out. I have pounded down a 1/2 sandwich before exercise – because I was super hungry – and find it so draining. I have to remind myself never to do it.

Get some L-Arginine and a good b multivitamin.

Usually eat just eggs and oatmeal w/ some coffee. A big sandwich would prob. be too much for me as well.

Yea, I just switched to GNC Mega Man w/ energy. Hopefully I’ll get a boost from that.

    Bahhh are you fat?

If you are in your correct CIM, don’t worry about it, you culturist? Or just want the six packs?

To those following me, be careful, I just farted. Men those beans are killers.

Don’t believe so. Less than 14% BF. I just want to stay healthy and in shape. Couldn’t care less about culturism. Not sure what CIM is.

Dark chocolate and nicotine pills (yes, the stop smoking kind) are both excellent for pre workout energy.

Caffine, ederdrine, beta alaine and creatine are also very useful for energy.

The best thing is to cycle these supplements, so the body doesn’t build up a tolerance. Use one sup one week and another then next.

And don’t forget a good night’s sleep, a solid diet and goals you are passionate about. Without these, your efforts will be short lived.

Counterintuitive. But fast 14+ hours. Go to gym.

    You’re welcome.

Hate to say it bro but a pro builder once told me that if a cup of coffee and the desire for self improvement ain’t enough to get you motivated – forget about it!

Funny. One prof. body builder at the gym told me to roid up and I’d be fine. So much for these body builders and their suggestions.

I think the cardio just drains me. I burn around 900 calories with a 10 incline… I was thinking of moving cardio from daily to every other day. I hate cardio.. It’s so boring……………

If you want energy, drink Essential Amino Energy. It’s cheap and very good. You’ll love it. Just mix in a bottle of water and drink up. I drink the stuff myself and it keeps me energized all day and half the night. It does have green tea caffeine.

    I drink blue raspberry.

Here’s an eBay listing for it:

Eat an apple (low GI) or research keto diet.
In 99% i do aero and bb work in the morning on empty stomach, aero can be sometimes demanding, rest a bit and continue.
Ps efedrin as suggested is amazing boost (beware if you have heart condition).
