The old KM had good intentions, I am very sure about that.
In my larger post above I listed the course of events as I have witnessed them.
And in the “good old days” the site must have made some money. After all, it takes only 1000 members = 5000 to 10000 USD per month to make a fairly good living from it. And by the cancellation rate I also see how many actually paid.
In any case, the money to run the site on a server is way less than what came in through subscriptions.
Any basic admin function, done by some low-paid student would have kept things in check and the site would have sailed into the success zone. We offered our admin help and we did all to serve problems to KM on a silver platter. So he doesn’t have to waste time.
If only a tiny fraction of money would have been spent on some kind of admin… Maybe with “opening hours”… Like say 1 hour every 2 days or so… To delete tuna and trolls and close threads with infighting – the site would still grow.
Now, it is like the new owners just want to squeeze the final bucks out of it and abandon it.

When a business (a concern that takes money in return for goods or services), suddenly cuts off communication with it’s customers, it’s a very bad sign.
Well……………I could forgive the first absence with the lockout/login problems. Maybe he was busy with more important stuff or whatever. Now, however, I hate to say it, but it seems like the site has just been abandoned. Whoever it was came in and fixed a few things and then…………nothing…..????…….
I don’t know what to make of it. I’ve never paid and have enjoyed the site for free so I really don’t have a right to bitch, which I am not doing. I’m just very curious as to why the site used to be well managed and is no longer.
