Despite several landmark legislative wins this year, and a better-than-expected relationship with President Donald Trump, Ryan has made it known to some of his closest confidants that this will be his final term as speaker.

——Don’t like Ryan, lacks the backbone for the job. BUT this stepping down will be a big change in the house. Depending on who is the replacement. Can I put in for Trey Gowdy please.

If true, the big question is why? There could be a number of reasons.

I’d prefer McConnell step down and go away. He is as useful as a wet blanket. You think Ryan has no backbone, McConnell make him look like Clint Eastwood.

One down and many more to go. I still don’t see a political solution to all of this.

WTF is going on with the Republican party? This confirms what a show this whole process really is. If this were legit politics, the R’s would be pouncing all over the defeated Democrats. Instead, they’re finding ways to give life to the down and out Dems. This term isn’t even half way through. lmao.

They both need to go. They are both uniparty leadership. THey are both establishment rinos.

Here is what is going on.

Uniparty = democrats and republican leadership + rinos + coward enablers

Uniparty with Repubs in charge of both houses cannot directly attack Trump. Further Repubs cannot keep lying and holding off the changes they said they would do if they had both chambers of Congress. They have proven they lie and had no intention of following through, because Repub leadership = Uniparty. Uniparty decided repubs must lose one chamber to democrats (ie no real power change, uniparty still in charge) who can overtly attack Trump (which uniparty desperately wants to do) and also now give plausible cover deniability to Repub leadership for not doing anything. But vote for us to get both chambers back so we can then repeal Obamacare.

THAT is what is going on.

No! NO! Oh, yes, glad to hear Paul Rino is stepping down as Speaker, but HELL no, you can’t put Trey Gowdy in! I am hoping he runs against that Democrat, Lindsey Graham for Senate in two years. South Carolina needs Gowdy in the Senate!
