I happened to be neither for nor against guns because I see both sides and am on the fence about it. The gun debate (like the abortion debate) exists to deflect the focus from the REAL issue.
First thing they argue and question is “SEE THAT”S WHY NO GUNS!!” and “Should there be guns??”.
But really…. should there be a “gay pride” day?
There is no “straight pride” day — because that would be LAUGHABLE. We would be laughed out of the street if we wanted to celebrate “straight pride” with a parade and want to shut down streets and redirect traffic based on a preference on who we like to f~~~.
No disrespect to the gays. REALLY. I have NO disrespect to the gays. and have had plenty of good gay friends — and still do. But I also remember my father’s reaction when he saw a gay guy I worked with (20 years ago) being extra affectionate at a formal reception/event . It was as inappropriate in that setting as a STRAIGHT couple making out there.
He actually excuse himself from the event and didn’t speak about it to anyone – all evening. Because he had the class not to. Something the gay couple didn’t have and their behavior was… well…… shall we say…… it left much room for improvement, to say the least.
You can’t just “do whatever you want” — wherever you want – whenever you want and expect there to be no pushback.
Being “proud” of being gay is like being “proud” of being born a man. Or tall. Or White. Or black. Or Asian. Or short. You can’t be “proud” of that, because you didn’t CHOOSE it. They are “born that way”. Right Lady GaGa?
“Pride” can be celebrated and recognized for an actual worthwhile tangible achievement that you chose. Like embarrassment or shame are experienced with a failure. I realize this is not a “fashionable” opinion. It’s just TRUE.
The f~~~ing “gun” issue has nothing to do with it.
It’s all a deflection away from the topic nobody has the sack to talk about or say.
Why doesn’t EVERYONE decide that we will ALL have a “PRIDE DAY” – on one sunday in June – where EVERYONE (gays too) get together and sweep the streets and parks picking up garbage and helping each other and the entire city can celebrate the PRIDE of the achievement and accomplishment of the joint effort. Where everyone who lives in a city cleans the place up, feeds the homeless and joins hands to celebrate the task.
That would be a “PRIDE DAY” worth celebrating.

I have a few thoughts on this…
1. Islam is not a religion of peace. It is not a religion at all. It is a total life system that advocates killing non-believers. A cult. Not all Muslims are terrorists but the ones who aren’t are afraid to do anything about the ones who are – like the Nazis back in the day.
2. The second amendment is about protecting oneself from tyrinical government.
3. The shooter should not get his 15 minutes of infamy. The media reports give them motivation! Don’t release his name!It’s tragic that this type of thing goes on. It’s my understanding that we’re in the 9th month of Ramadan until July 5th. ISIS has threatened attacks during the month of Ramadan.
The administration will probably use this crisis to further their liberal agenda.
