Thanks Valmont, the thing about the whole police incident was she was the last person who I ever thought would do that. Goes to show that divorce WILL bring out the worst in them and catch you off guard. She kind of did me a favor though in that I lost my love towards her that morning and I started on the path of taking care of my needs. As for all you guys going through the beginning of a divorce or thinking about it please, please be aware that this can happen to you. Do what you have to to protect yourself from false accusations.

Glad you avoided any escalation with the police. It sucks that you were so blindsided by this. Mine has been a slow slide into divorce. I’m not sure which is worse, but perhaps the bandaid analogy would apply. Quick and momentarily painful rather than slow and dreadful. Glad to have you here.

A co-worker recently told me, "If you want to see who someone really is, divorce them." I have found out how true this is. When your wife drops the façade of being the caring partner, you will witness all of the greed, hate, and spite that she has masked. It is truly breathtaking!

Thanks for your story. I really enjoy reading these…as a 30 year old man who has very little experience with women (due to circumstance as well as choice), it gives me motivation to keep avoiding them as well as provides me insight. Your story has proven that women are willing to break even a seemingly perfect marriage over the course of such a long period of time, all for their shot of grabbing your assets. All without any remorse or shame, or without any regard for the well being of their children. Once again, I thank you. You have my condolences and I hope everything works out for you.

Wow- your story illustrates how the seemingly balanced/normal woman can flip and go crazy on a dime. They are all like that.
