You’re living the good life, in my opinion.
I’d love to have a house with a garage with no noisy neighbours above me, but that’s just not the plan for now.
I also love being at home, sitting quietly drinking tea than to be anywhere else with lots of people, although I get restless sometimes. I’l hang out with a childhood friend of mine a couple of times a week, just playing video games, or I’ll be my computer while he plays. The company is enough. I know I can be myself around that guy and that’s pretty priceless.
Otherwise I have one hobby (car racing) that require being around lots of people, but as they are like-minded, it’s much less tedious.
To be honest, when I know I have to go somewhere with lots of people (for groceries or other errands), I’ll put my jacket and shoes on and be ready to go, but I’ll still take about 20 minutes to muster up the courage to open the door of my apartment and get out. I just can’t leave my sanctuary………. It did that a lot when I started my new job, as it demanded a lot from me at first (sharp learning curve) and I felt exhausted.
Anyway, not really comforting, but that’s my experience.

No doubt. It’s a trillion times better than living with my ex. It just it gets boring from time to time. With it being around -10 right now, can’t even hike. I can stay in my house for days straight, and wouldn’t have a problem with it. I just guess I am not normal. Which, I already knew. Just thought there would be more to life than waiting for the clock to run out.
