The problem with female attitudes is their use of the word “OWE” here.
Another take on this:
Back in the days, let´s call it my white knight years, I used to repair a lot of cars for friends, being a skilled mechanic, be it female or male. The men always asked what I charged for the job at first, women don´t ask, they expect you to do everything for free or they think they flutter their eyelashes and that´s it. When they give you something at all, it´s something like cooking you a meal or something more of a gift rather than cash.
In 1998, I shared a house with some people, one of my female house mates asked me to replace the head gasket on her Mercedes 190 Diesel. That´s at least an 6-7 hour job + you have to rent a place to do it and need parts. I wanted her to pay for stuff in advance.I guestimated she´d end up with 500DM altogether. She said I was to expensive. We got in an argue over it, like I would try to rip her off and we were housemates and stuff. I refused to do it. She brought her car in a workshop and ended up paying 1000DM for it.
Why did she expect me to owe her someting? For what, being a house-mate? She moved in a month ago!
4 years later I learnt how to deal with computers and software developing, business processes and laws, my back made me change my trades.
The mother of a friend, he used to be my house-mate, made my friend ask me, if I could get the PC of a woman that she knew back in order.(weird story) Note: I never ever spoken to my friends mother, I did not know who she was
Also his mother leaked subtly, through him, that this woman was a little hard up. Means I should work cheaply.
This was a moonlight job.
At this womens place (single mom w. son), after a short welcome she showed me the room and the PC and I started my job. She was taking care of her son. Her CRT was topped with a rose quartz (hint, hint) and the foot of the monitor was decorated with a semicircular array of patron saint cards.At chance I had to ask her about it and she really was convinced that those cards and the rose quarz would deflect the radiation coming from the CRT, so much for physics. Her OS was shot, full of viruses and I had to reinstall it and save her personal data.
I stood there for 4 hrs. and returned on the next day to do some finishing steps and all her extra wishes (hardware installations). Another side note, when she offered me water she brought it in a glass carafe 1/3rd of the volume of the bottle was filled stones of different color, again I had the the urge to ask:
Me: “What about those stones in that water?”
Her: “Oh that´s for the minerals, the stones practically ionize the water and dissolve their minerals into the water”
Me: nodding OK continuing my work
My head: Oh yeah girl, that´s exactly what is going to happen.
All in all it took 6hrs to do all the things and get the system running and safe. She asked me what I would want? Did she ask in the beginning … no!
Me: “So that´ll be 180 DM”
Her:”Oh I was thinking it would be more like 50DM?!”
I explained her the rules and reminded her upon not asking me for a price before I started to work. How come she forgot about that?!
After somehow destroying her illusions about what she would get away with, we agreed on 150DM. That´s still fair. She came pretty close once or twice when I was working on her PC and explaining her certain features and what not to do And Paul Anka sang a remix in my head: “Lay your tit on my shoulder….” Women like that make me cringe the hell out, all this eso-s~~~, no basic knowledge, and way too post-wall and abhorrent to be a considerable mate.
She had to pay in two installments because she had only 100DM on her. I made her send me an envelope with the rest by mail. She indicated before that she expected me to come back to pick it up.Nah
Women think they owe us nothing, though they automatically expect the special treatment of giving them a rebate at no return. Women love to skimp with the money.
