Well, one of the two attackers, the one who apparently broke her nose by the way, was a woman. It’s funny how both the video and the article did everything they could to down play that. I mean they didn’t even call the woman one of the attackers but it was just “a woman who was with the attacker”. The interview with the girl was “He did this and that”, not a single mention of the other woman.

So yeah, had the two bystanders jumped in, no they certainly wouldn’t have gotten stabbed to death, more than likely it would have been a rape charge instead.

I don’t think its warranted to wish or condone violence against any human being…woman or not. As a matter of fact it sickens me because this is not a woman but a girl. I do find it odd that the woman broke her nose , but she refers to what the man did instead. I suppose it’s because she is surprised that he would do that given she did not know him. Beating up little girls is certainly no badge of honor.

I would not risk my life to defend a woman. While I was growing up, we had zero tolerance rules in place in school. If someone comes up and punches me in the face and says I’m going to kick your ass, and I defend myself, I get in trouble for it. So now we have a generation of men that have been raised under such ridiculous rules…that defending yourself, let alone defending someone else, is going to get you in trouble regardless of the circumstances.

Additionally, we all know how sue happy this country is. We all know how very easily hurting one of those attackers could lead to a lawsuit, or even worse, criminal charges. Our court systems are too broken to say yeah you broke the law by beating those guys off that woman but you did it for the greater good so we’ll let you walk…this might happen, but it might not, why risk it?

Furthermore, none of them knew the history of the situation. It could have been some dumb slut and her boyfriend and its the tenth time he’s roughed her up. Why would you want to step up and save her when within a week she’d be right back to f~~~ing him? Its not like this is exactly unheard of. It could have been some crack whore that owed her dealer 30 bucks or a blowjob…why would I want to step into a situation like that?

So now we have a generation of men raised under these rules with these mind sets. I wouldn’t have helped her, and to be fair I wouldn’t have helped if it was just some random guy either. Its not even that I’m a wimp or a coward or anything, I’m a pretty decent sized guy and can hold my own in a fight. If it was a friend or family member and I knew it was just a random attack I’d help…but given this situation with a random person when there is the risk of getting my own ass kicked(or worse) on top of potential trouble and liability after the fact, society has simply entrenched it too deeply in my head that being a passive bystander in situations like this is in my best interest…so why are so many members of society shocked when my generation does exactly what they have trained us to do since birth?

The problem with female attitudes is their use of the word “OWE” here.
Nobody is implying you OWE me anything – bitch.

Time and attention from a man is a monetary GIFT. But women all seem to have it in their heads that men “OWE” them, and we are OBLIGATED just because they are female. The very concept of throwing yourself in front of her to stop a stray bullet is something women think men “OWE” them too. Just like a $25,000 engagement ring. And it’s high time they are corrected.

The minute she thinks you “owe” her — if you actually DO it — it doesn’t even count as a +1!! Women actually behave like there is such a thing as giving her “the wrong gift”. When a woman will treat you like you’re an asshole if you DO NOT do what she wants, then doing it was never a +1 and it will only get you to 0.

Notice how the media have made no effort whatsoever to interview the two witnesses. That’s significant. Think about the message the media is trying to send here with what they choose to broadcast and, more importantly, what they don’t.

I’d have taken out my own phone to video the incident, and then turned over the video to the police in the hope that it might identify the criminals and bring them to justice. But step into that mess? Especially when it’s between two women (and a man)? Hell no. I don’t need that kind of liability, especially in an anti self defense city like Chicago.
