Just wait until Dicks sees the next quarter’s numbers when Nike burns them until it really hurts,…and each and every quarter there after.
Oh and thinks for bringing up retailers, they are the ones that will start to pull the merchandise from the shelves and sending it back, expect to see a lot more Nike factory stores open as it tries to move all that product. The retailers could really hurt Nike if they did decide to pull the product off the shelves. Of course, if you do it too soon then you are taking a stand against Nike and p~~~ing off all of the liberals who then won’t buy anything from you. So it’s a pretty delicate dance for them. Leave it on the shelf and pray it doesn’t rot there, or pull it and end up in pig pen with Nike and the NFL.
That’s a good observation. I’m not sure there’s a good answer there.
Order the good wine
Like Nike haven’t thought this one through.
Peace is > piece.
Yeah Nike gives a s~~~ about people burning a few thousand sneakers… Those shoes have already been payed for, lol. Might as well burn money. Some of those same people will be buying new ones a year later.
So you weren’t already outright disgusted by the child slave labor that made the shoes, but a washed up QB signs a deal and that did it for you?
There are ways to hurt a companies business because you disagree with their politics. Burning personal property isn’t a highly effective one.
They stand to make a lot more off the market that supports this person. Not to mention overseas sales.
What I’ve been trying to convey all day;
Don't stick your dick into anyone you aren't willing to put up with for eighteen years and nine months.
A friend of mine asked me what I thought about Kapernick taking a knee and my response surprised him- he has the right to do what he did, but he also must face the consequences that follow. If his contract and employer indicate no, he forfeits his job. Likewise Nike can hire him but face the lose of business. They have the right to hire him but we have the right to not buy their product. It’s freedom.
"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."
there is no right to block traffic. they need be mowed down an the stupid illegal dangerous s~~~ they are doing will essentially end.
Women want everything, but want responsibility and accountability for nothing.

that is what most people don’t get about freedom. my tagline. they want freedom without any negs, but for others they hate/oppose, no freedom and lots of negs.

Aren’t there more important things to think/worry about? Seriously? People are burning and destroying their bought and paid for gear?? Really? Uh… Nike already has your cash!!
Have any of these people ANY self-awareness? This is hive mind thinking… “I saw one person burn his nikes, so im gonna burn mine!!”
WTF??? This is STUPID. This is the epitome of just “following the crowd’. This is just another reason to stay neutral in politics… Herd mentality is dangerous freeDUMB.

Retailers would only hurt themselves if they abruptly pull MILLIONS of dollars worth of Nike product from the shelves. Reason being is that they BUY the product from Nike. There is no return clause on unsold merch. That’s not how the sneaker /apparel, retail industry works. I know. I work in it.
So if they pull all that product off the shelves, they would’ve just poked a huge hole in their balance sheets. Not a good look for investors. And Nike can just open a new branded store in their market and retain their market share.
