Typically on a Friday/Saturday night I go out for drinks. I’m getting f~~~ing sick of it. I love drinking and witty bar room banter, but once the booze sets in it invariably leads to at the very LEAST noticing some eye-candy in the room. I’m sick of the mind f~~~.
I’m in my late 30’s now. I’d like to find some other things to do for fun. I know this is entirely relative, but have any of you been in the same boat (used to love going out for drinks and found something new to replace it?).
I understand “fun” is subjective, and I’m not asking anyone – ‘what’s fun’; I’m interested in hearing from guys who have had the same experience – tired of what the bar room leads to, which is young women getting attention, and as a result of that annoyance, what did you find to take it’s place?

I’m 37 so know exactly what you mean. I too can’t be doing with the bar scene anymore and even in my younger days i just followed the herd.
For me i’ve put money front and center, so i work more and invest to have the security of financial stabilty. This doesn’t mean i live like a total monk but that’s where my prioritys lie.
It’s very rare i go to pubs/bars these days and if i do i usually go to quiet places, the only time i go to the meat markets is at christmas when i have a couple of work clients i have to go out with. Does my head in! Lol
I have a couple of holidays a year usaully to the same place with some mgtow(ish) friends, eat good food, relax and f~~~ hot hookers. The one thing i am glad about getting older is my sexual urges are waining bit by bit.
The rest of the time i play video games, visit family, chill online and just basically live life. I try to keep it all as simple as possible.
I often have barbeques with my dad whenever I can, because that’s a far more private setting. He has a nice flat with a patio out back, and only the people who we want to see are invited to join us. There’s no fear of being surrounded by vulgar skanks who we don’t know, and he has spare rooms in case anybody overindulges, so they don’t have to worry about getting home safely at the end of the night. I don’t know how close you are to your dad, but I came to realise that it was a lot more fun than bars. Gives Dad and I a chance to catch up, eat some nice steaks that we cook ourselves, and get drunk off cheap Lindaur (I know that it’s a sparkling wine, but I started drinking it because he likes it, and it’s actually not too bad).
Obviously you can’t do this every night, because your family have their own lives and aren’t always available, but I definitely prefer it to club-hopping now. Have a long history of fishing with him too. His birthday is in October, and as a present I’m planning to take him on a public charter, where they take you out to deep waters and you’re allowed to take home whatever you catch.

Anonymous16I just enjoy exercise, running (15km at least 3 or 4 times a week)
Cooking.
Going to the mountains and walking in the wild.
Or the beach, specially at nigth when there is no people around.Thats it.
Good God – you guys are amazing. I can tell by the responses that we have an intellectually robust crowd here. Men who cultivate character. This aint “snap-chat”; or whatever the f~~~ the kiddies/girls use.

I think (thinking out loud here) this is where its so much different for men and women – we aren’t obsessed with the minutia they are. They become obsessed with consumership. Magazines telling them which color shoes are “in”, the latest sex “trick”, which gadget they must buy, etc, etc…Hell, even when a chick goes to a coffee shop/restaraunt/bar they have to spend TEN…F~~~ING…MINUTES perusing the menu as though it was the Lord’s Last Supper.
It.
Never.

This was truly heart-warming; truly. Nice to hear you spend so much quality time with your father. It almost brings a tear to my eye, because I was close to my father as well, but he passed away when I was 23.
It’s rare these days that people appreciate their parents. I’m glad you do.

One hobby I’m starting to get interested in is falconry. It’s very popular here in the middle east and some breeds found in north america are very expensive to buy here. I’m thinking about breeding and importing too.
I bathe in the tears of single moms.
I’ve been getting into sailing lately. I started a band last year and it was going great but promoting the band was too expensive.
So I bought myself a sailboat and am going to try really hard not to kill my self single handling it. I depend on no one.
#icethemout; Remember Thomas Ball. He died for your children.

Aw that sucks man, sorry to hear it. Yeah I try to make the most out of those visits, and we always have a good time whatever we’re doing.

Have you thought about Photography? I’m not talking about stupid selfies. I have heavily gotten into underwater photography, some has been used to track Manta ray migration, some for advertisements for cancun, but I mostly do for me. But there are so many types of photography, landscapes, street photography. Just get out and create something beautiful.
Go volunteer at an animal shelter, or whatever you find interesting.
Get out of the Pub, if you drink, drink at home or with friends.
"what a waste of a life, to marry, give up your freedom, just for the hope of not dying alone. Don't get married Son."
I often go to a VERY high end steak house at a fancy hotel where a steak costs you $90. I just get the onion soup.
Oh God – I laughed SO f~~~ing hard when I finished reading this sentence!

Hey Puffin Stuff, I grew up with 14ft sunfish, it’s no yacht, but it’s clipper nature made it allot fun to get around silently and effortlessly, Whatever you’re sailing main thing is keep your head clear of the boom and ropes, I’d hate to see you get snagged and dragged.
Ancientwisdom, “First” like any cancerous behavior you must cut out the cancer and allow time to determine your alternative space, like a void you now have the choice to fill it in with a more healthy time spent, time free of the alcohol and wasted time making no personal gains whatsoever.
It’s a leap of faith I made when I decided 100% from then on there will be no more pussy chase, that hardened into no more pussy as all those around me were being destroyed by women through divorce or everyday mind f~~~s galore!
Take the first step by carving the impurities from your life.
We’re just like a tree with dead branches that are better off cut so the healing process is quicker covering the cut and stopping insects and diseases from infecting and killing the entire tree, plus more nutrients for the growing top.
It just makes sense to filter modern women from your life, they’ve become that worthless and detrimental to your happiness and well being.
You’re standing in gynocentric desert and the oasis is right behind you, just turn away from the oil pit that looks like water but isn’t actually water, it’s crude oil seeping from gynocentric earth.
Turnaround and drink the healthy life giving water of sovereignty and solidarity.
Otherwise endure the abuse.

MGTOW is not a movement, it is a way of life.
I’m hitting 50 so I might go to the local Legion
for a few now and then but mostly it’s working or
working out, learning more about investing and outdoor
stuff such as ATVing ,camping, fishing ect
Lifes a bitch, but you don't have to marry one!
I’ve been collecting autographs since junior high. This might sound like a boring hobby, and to some it might be. But for me, the “art” of authenticating autographs is so interesting .. I occasionally go to conventions. I’m not limiting myself to sports cards, I also collect old and new autographs from sci-fi and entertainment. I don’t get anything online but from other collectors who I meet. I’m now getting into early film .. like Laurel and Hardy and The Wizard of OZ cast. These are almost impossible to get so if I find one per year I’m really doing well.
I’ve also been coin collecting for about the same time frame. This year, I’m going to several shows and I have a mini-goal of trying to find all of the uncirculated versions of the 1909-S Lincoln Cent. Sounds boring? .. that’s ok. I’m having fun 🙂
I do lots of hiking and some basic overnight camping. I’m really a frugal collector and camper and overall .. I try and spend relatively little on my hobbies. One or two decent slabbed and graded cards and one vintage actor over a span of months .. I probably spend substantially less annually on those than most people do if you add up all their Cappuccinos for twelve months. Besides, I see it this way .. holding an autograph in front of me that was signed by a ‘long gone’ sports figure or hollywood actress or actor is like holding on to and preserving twenty seconds of their life.I’m into RC aircraft. Crash one, build another. Most of the electronics survive, even if the airframe is bent in half. FPV in a heavily treed area can make you feel like an ace fighter pilot.
Beer is much cheaper when you buy it and drink it at home. I can’t stand most bars.
I failed to realize in my youth that I was the prize. I was going to work. I was going to earn. Little did I realize that due to feminism, that no longer meant I had to share. Road soon, Desert after.

I enjoy tango dancing – either socially or in classes. I gives me the opportunity to socialize with like-minded people – tangueros are usually well-educated. And when you don’t want to talk to a woman anymore you just ask her to dance; women don’t talk & dance at the same time. No. Really.
I also do work with some guys in a social anxiety group on meetup.com. Now i’m usually comfortable in social situations, but i know it can be a struggle for others, so i try to help out.
When in doubt you can always hit the gym. Lifting heavy makes everything better.

Good for you! Men invest in themselves and save money so they can have freedom in the future. Women only want more shoes….
Order the good wine

This really hit home for me recently. I was chatting w/a girl that works in my dr’s office. I was there on a follow-up from like 2 months prior. I’m chatty with most people, so i was talking to her about s~~~ i had been up to, that i enjoy: traveling & volunteering & tango dancing & riding motorcycles license & educating myself on fitness/nutrition.
Ya know what she had done in the 2 months since i had seen her? She dyed her hair purple. That’s it. That’s all she brought to the table.
I resisted the urge to tell her to enjoy 1) hitting the wall & 2) her cats.
