My intro and experiences so far

Hey guys!

To be honest I have only known about MGTOW for a few months now. When I started reading more and doing my research I saw a lot of myself and what I have been feeling the last few years. I am 30 years old and have been woman free for about 3 years now. I had a few long term relationships in my teens and early 20’s. I should have learned from those (cheated on, ran up debt, one girl attempted suicide when we broke up and tried to blame me for it). I had to move back in with my mom for a few years and I went back to school during that time. After I started my career as a network engineer I thought it would be a good idea to get back into the dating scene. I had a hell of a time getting any dates – I am just average looking so you know how that goes. In my desperation I ended up dating a woman that had 3 young kids with two different men. I was with her for about a year and to this day I don’t understand why or how I lasted that long. I ended up finding out that she was essentially using me for money and for a place to live. I ended that relationship ASAP. It was a few months later when I realized the size of the bullet I dodged, and that was my redpill moment.

Fast forward about 3 years to today – I live peacefully by myself, have enough disposable income to do mostly everything I want and have decided that going my own way and not dealing with women is the only logical way to go. I am a huge movie buff, gamer, and have been trying to start exercising to improve my health. Most of my friends are married and of course I get the questions all of the time – “why don’t you go find a girl” , etc. I normally just say that I am fine with my life the way it is. I am hoping to learn better responses to questions that friends and family ask like that. I am glad I found this forum and site and hope to contribute and learn as much as I can.

Great story… I wish I had learned my lessons that young, but I am a hard head, and kept having to be hit between the eyes with a 4X4. I managed to survive without losing everything, basically, because I never had anything to lose. The women in my life made certain of that. I am twice your age, but those 4X4’s finally softened my thick skull up enough, a clue was finally able to slip between the cracks. I honestly look at myself, and I still don’t have much, but I have more than I ever have before because I don’t have some female sponge soaking it up before I get to it. My last marriage was 16 years. In that time, my ex brought in maybe as much as I brought in in my best year, but I tried hard to give her everything she wanted. If I didn’t, there was hell to pay. Every time I wanted something, no matter how piddling, there was a laundry list of things that had to come first. If I satisfied that list, there was another list of reasons why it was a just bad idea. So, my life is the best it has ever been. My last relations~~~, when I finally figured out as far as she was concerned it was “me first; Me last; ME always!”, I finally said “Enough!” I really think MGTOW is spreading, and may go viral. I think it is just possible my grand-daughters may find themselves looking for men, like men of my generation looked for women. I am almost sorry I won’t be here to see it. It doesn’t bother me a bit that I will be spending the sunset of my life by myself, because it is a beautiful sunset, and I am enjoying the hell out of it.

Welcome! More or less your story sounds pretty familiar, it’s a thing a lot of us (myself included) had to go through. When I discovered I’m by far not the only one, I found a lot of peace in that.
Keep reading the Articles and posts in here, there is lots of deep insight to be found (and some crap, too ;)).
