This was one of the first topics I created after joining MGTOW.

I would argue one has more sovereignty in jail than in the military. In jail you are not forced to kill people without being allowed to use your own judgment.
Read your post, that guy Duke laid out a pretty solid counter actually: ‘I both served in the military and spent 7 years in corporate America, and I will tell you first hand that out of the two, I would hang myself dead in a heartbeat before going back to corporate. Giving the illusion of freedom and choice is far far worse than swearing an oath to serve and be part of something bigger and stronger than yourself. You take those things that you’ve learned, finish the time that you swore an oath as a man to do, and you get out. Along the way, you make brothers for life, see things nobody in your podunk town could even imagine and learn what you are made of. You might not figure out what you want to do in life, but you will sure as hell learn what you DON”T want to do.
In the quickly deteriorating culture and society we now live in, there is absolutely no place better to learn what it really takes to make it on your own in the world than the military. Weve got two full generations of men raised by women. The majority of those men would be s~~~ out of luck and behaving like their mommys 72 hours after the electricity went out for good.
My good for nothing blue pill brother and his overweight opinionated troll of a wife say a lot of the same things you are saying in this post to me on a regular basis. You best believe that the minute s~~~ gets desperate, they’ll be on my porch looking for help.’
This was loosely my experience in fire vs civilian. Civilian stuff is such bulls~~~, sure you CAN quit at anytime, but no one does. Too many bills, just load up the porn, medicate yourself etc. Backstabbing, lying, completely bulls~~~ always.
That is the stuff I am trying to get away from.
Anonymous24I hear ya, but just because he preferred one form of slavery over another means very little to me.
I couldn’t read Joe Bauers’ previous post because of one of those ‘link covers the post’ moments but I remember the discussion.
Anyway, the military life has traditionally embodied numerous positive personal growth elements. Discipline, courage, honour, sacrifice. I respect those ideas and have nothing but respect for the men who have lived them and sacrificed to keep us free.
Is it compatible with MGTOW though? No, I don’t believe so, because it is the opposite of sovereignty. To be ordered off to some foreign land to be ‘meat for the grinder’ as one of the posters above put it, is what men are walking away from. Once the labour and sacrifice of men, in whatever lifestyle or career, was respected and it was part of a social pact. Modernity has destroyed all that, and we walk away.
Its is important, too, to realize that deadly violence among primitives is not even remotely comparable to modern warfare. When primitives fight, two little bands of men shoot arrows or swing war-clubs at one another because they want to fight; or because they are defending themselves, their families, or their territory.
The Unabomber, eh? Reminds me of something Tolkien said in the Book of Lost Tales about ‘small bands of brave men coming together to exchange swift blows’ (or something, that’s from memory). But writing (what would become) the Silmarillion during WW1 and the Lord of the Rings during WW2, he was at pains to point out afterwards that their noble visions of combat were not allegories for the Allies’ struggle – rather, modern total war was utterly evil.
i don’t see military as being particularly mgtowish, but if you like that kind of thing and it’s what you want to do, then do it. if you want a mgtowish career, work towards owning your own company. i think that’s as mgtow as you can get.
I bathe in the tears of single moms.
I will say again what I’ve told friends and family about the Military. Save it for a last resort. If you DO go in, understand what you’re doing. You are about to sign a contract that puts you in front of the crowd when and if s~~~ hits the fan.
…………If you’re still wiling to sign after that, congrats. You’re going to have to face the truth of what you’re doing and that starts with the fact that you and the rest of those guys dressed like you will be the first ones called in to lay down your lives if war breaks out. Other truths you’ll want to know is this.
1: it isn’t much different from the job you’re doing now, except where you are doing it. There isn’t much difference at all when it comes to jobs inside or outside except you don’t have to sign a contract to be a cashier or cook at your local stores. Of course, there is military specific training you’ll need to know, such as General Infantry stuff, but it pretty much is the same as working outside of the military.
2: The people In the military are just like YOU. Aside from some people not being able to pass certain physical standards, background checks, or whatever else may disqualify one from service, these are the same people you’ve been around all your life, just on a country-wide scale. The same good guys and the same bad guys (and girls) that you’ve known your whole life. You’re going to see this one and be like,”You remind me of so-and-so from back home.”……….and that’s probably going to happen no less than twice when you get on the bus. Just remember. Every piece of s~~~ person you’ve dealt with was once a civilian just like you. Same goes for every good guy and gal. Some of them made the same choice as you and joined the military. You’ll find out that you might have crossed an entire country to get to boot camp, but you really haven’t gone that far.
3: Learn how to play the game. It’s pretty much the same on the inside as it is on the outside. There will be people in there trying to do the same as you. Sometimes that will help you, sometimes it won’t. Every swindler and cheat you’ve ever heard of is on the inside, and they outrank you. Learn who is who, and treat them accordingly. Hell, just by coming to this site you’ve already picked up a wealth of knowledge that I learned the hard way.
4: Enter with a plan and a purpose. You’re giving them your life to defend your country with, so make sure you get something back more than food and shelter. If you want to learn something like IT, then make sure you know how to go about getting that job. You CAN make a profit, be it in knowledge, experience, money, or all of that and more.
Me being ex-Navy, I personally think I got a pretty good deal out of it. Sure, there were times in the service when I’ve wanted to throw several people off of a REALLY high platform, and sometimes I’ve wanted to just go up there and jump myself. Still, I had plenty of good times as well as bad. Ironically, I think I had the most fun when I was stationed in Japan, but that’s just me. I enjoy travel more than most things, so the Navy was the best choice for me. I can’t say that a MGTOW cannot thrive in the military because that would be an outright lie. I must warn that it would be tough. Hope this helps.
Learn from the past, Control the present, and you will know the Future.
Thanks for response. I imagine a MGTOW guy would have an advantage as he is not going to be chasing pussy or step over that line at all.
Mainly for me, I don’ see myself really traveling much unless I do something like this. Ive from a small town, and road tripped a lot, but even just a job in a city is just locking me to that city.
Not this s~~~ty feminist military. In the good ol’ days women were not only banned from entering the mess, even discussing women there wasn’t allowed.
GONE are those days!!
"One hundred women are not worth a single testicle."
Anonymous2The military is the shining example of the disposable male. They send men off to fight and die, and the ones that survive often end up committing suicide from PTSD or end up on the street homeless because the government gave them the finger when they got home and needed help for their mental issues they suffered from war.
Oh, and get this: When I lived in the States, a guy that was in the military told me about how he was seeing this single mom and the military pushed him to marry her – pretty much to the point of forcing him. He didn’t understand it at the time, but then he figured it out: The military is controlled by the government, and the last thing the government wants is another single mom leeching off the government’s dime. So they try to sucker men into marrying these single moms so that the government doesn’t end up having to foot the bill. So of course he ended up being financially responsible for her kid from that point on, and he got screwed really bad. The bitch cheated on him, and when they divorced he had to pay out the ass in child support for a kid that wasn’t his.
Don’t ever trust any institution controlled by a gynocentric government.
Ok, I’ll weigh in here out of vast experience.
Imagine the bond you feel to men here on MGTOW. Now multiply it by a billion. 10 maybe 3 men left that understand in the end, or maybe still don’t. They will, any day any time give their life for you.
My kids will not be encouraged to go.
When you find yourself in the majority, it's time to reflect.

Im confused, are you saying the brotherhood is real, but then dont go?

Precisely.
Also been completely invaded by SJW.
I believe that the military stopped being fun the second that farts stopped being funny.
I would not recommend unless you know exactly what you want to do, and have been dreaming about it your entire life.
When you find yourself in the majority, it's time to reflect.
