The song The Weekend – The Hills is on the commercial radio stations several times a day in my city.
I still think it’s plumbing a new depth of depravity for mainstream music. But having listened to it a few times now, I think there’s also a strong element of MGTOW in it.
I joke that songs like these are the ‘love songs’ of our time. But perhaps it’s a lot more serious. Perhaps, this is the limit to which the modern male will go for the modern woman. In other words, she’s got to ‘do things at his tempo’ or she can get f~~~ed. After all he’s ‘f~~~ed two bitches before seeing this one’.
Let me know what you think.
Your man on the road, he doing promo
You said keep our business on the low-low
I’m just tryna get you out the friend-zone
Cause you look even better than the photos
I can’t find your house, send me the info
Driving through the gated residential
Found out I was coming, sent your friends home
Keep on tryna hide it but your friends knowI only call you when it’s half past, five
The only time that I’ll be by, your, side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me, yeah
I only call you when it’s half-past, five
The only time I’d ever call you mine
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me, babeI’ma let you know and keep it simple
Tryna keep it up, don’t seem so simple
I just f~~~ed two bitches ‘fore I saw you
You gon’ have to do it at my tempo
Always tryna send me off to rehab
Drugs start to feel like it’s decaf
I’m just tryna live life for the moment
And all these motherf~~~ers want a relapseI only call you when it’s half past, five
The only time that I’ll be by, your, side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me, yeah
I only call you when it’s half-past, five
The only time I’d ever call you mine
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me, babeHills have eyes, the hills have eyes
Who are you to judge, who are you to judge?
Hide your lies, girl hide your lies
Who are you to trust, who are you?I only call you when it’s half past, five
The only time that I’ll be by, your, side
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me, yeah
I only call you when it’s half-past, five
The only time I’d ever call you mine
I only love it when you touch me, not feel me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me
When I’m f~~~ed up, that’s the real me, babeBeats Xmas pop!
I play a game with myself. Every time I hear more than one bar of “The Little Drummer Boy” song, I award myself one point. The fewer points I have the day after Xmas, the better my game was … something like golf only without the skills or outdoor exercise. I do have one skill sharpened. I can push the car radio button without looking before the first four notes of that odious song.
I’m at zero so far, but there’s another month to go of this excrement set to music.
Society asks MGTOWs: Why are you not making more tax-slaves?
I think, this would suite MGTOW, athem more.
Here’s one that would make a good MGTOW anthem.
Given that we’re all going our own way, an anthem seems inappropriate, but I’m good with mgtow songs.
Decadence and dissipation aren’t my style, although I find it interesting that this song is getting airplay, at all. It certainly points out how fantastically bad women are at making their own decisions.
New World Man is awesome; thank you for reminding me that it exists. Not a bad choice for a personal anthem, not at all. It’s been too long since I binge listened to Rush. I remember when their Greatest Hits (74-87) came out, and I was worried that they were done as a band. It’s nice that fear was not realized.
I’m fond of Kashmir by Led Zeppelin nowadays, although the ‘baby’ part at the end has always been to me discordant with the rest of the song. I’m not sure what it refers to, and never really have. It’s not a love song, by any means, and one wonders if they were just riffing when they recorded it and left it in, or whether it means drugs, or The Ring, or something they were thinking about. I like the open nature of it, although I acknowledge that many would see this as singing to some split tail, I never have, even as a child.
Right now I finally understand Veteran of the Psychic Wars; as a padawan I always wanted to really be able to relate to that song, because I was an idiot. Stupid, stupid me. Well, now I do. Yay.
Bunker Mode: We should chat sometime.
"You can either love women, or understand women. You can't do both. Because once you understand women, you realize that there is really nothing to love."
